Deliveroo launches office catering trial in London with five-day advance booking

The service offers tailored menus designed specifically for team lunches, workshops, and company events, giving kitchens longer lead times to organize staffing and preparation.

UK – Deliveroo has launched a new office catering service across London, allowing employers to book large group meals from 24 hours up to five days in advance through its corporate arm Deliveroo for Work.

The pilot, run in partnership with Addison Lee, features restaurant partners including The Salad Project, Pizza Pilgrims, and Sushi Dog, with more brands expected to join later.

The service offers tailored menus designed specifically for team lunches, workshops, and company events, giving kitchens longer lead times to organize staffing and preparation.

Why Now? The Office Lunch Makes a Comeback

The timing reflects shifting workplace patterns as hybrid work stabilizes and companies increasingly provide meals to attract employees back to offices.

Deliveroo for Work reports that business-related orders climbed more than 60% between 2022 and 2025, with UK group orders rising approximately 10% year-on-year between 2024 and 2025.

Spencer Walker, Global Director of Deliveroo for Work, confirmed the trend: “The office lunch is officially back, and we’re continually finding new ways to elevate it.”

The service aims to “take the stress out of group orders, it’s easy to set up and simple to manage, working just like a regular Deliveroo order, despite the scale.”

How the Catering Service Works

Employers can book deliveries through a dedicated platform, choosing from curated menus designed for larger gatherings.

The advance-order model, available from 24 hours up to five days ahead, gives restaurant partners time to prepare for bulk orders, ensuring quality and efficiency.

This addresses a key pain point for both restaurants and corporate customers who previously struggled to coordinate large deliveries through standard ordering systems.

Building on Corporate Momentum

Deliveroo for Work has been quietly building its corporate presence as the return-to-office trend gains traction.

The new service joins other innovations including Family Dinneroo, launched last year to provide family meals for up to four people at £25 (approx. $32) or under.

By targeting the workplace catering segment, Deliveroo positions itself to capture a growing share of corporate food budgets as companies invest in employee perks and team-building experiences.

What’s Next for the Pilot

The London trial will determine whether the service expands to other UK cities and potentially international markets.

With more restaurant partners expected to join, Deliveroo is betting that consistent demand for team meals will continue as hybrid work patterns settle.

For office managers tired of wrangling individual orders and hungry teams craving variety, the new service offers a stress-free solution that delivers at scale.
