Hilton is deepening its presence in high-growth urban and commercial nodes with properties such as the Canopy by Hilton Bangkok Sukhumvit and lifestyle hotels like Slohh by Roach Bengaluru, a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel, inspired by local coffee estate culture.

ASIA-PACIFIC – Hilton is launching a major strategic expansion across the Asia-Pacific region in 2026, introducing a diverse portfolio of new properties to capture the surge in both urban business travel and immersive leisure tourism.
From resort destinations in Langkawi and Okinawa to key transit hubs in Guangzhou, this growth spree is designed to position Hilton at the center of the region’s evolving travel economy.
A Diverse Portfolio for Evolving Traveler Demand
The expansion strategy is tailored to meet two powerful trends: the desire for experiential, community-oriented stays and the need for seamless connectivity.
The leisure segment will see significant additions like the Canopy by Hilton Okinawa Miyako Island Resort (306 rooms) and the Hilton Burau Bay Resort Langkawi, set within rainforests and catering to wellness and family travel.
Concurrently, Hilton is deepening its presence in high-growth urban and commercial nodes with properties such as the Canopy by Hilton Bangkok Sukhumvit and lifestyle hotels like Slohh by Roach Bengaluru, a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel, inspired by local coffee estate culture.
Strengthening Presence in Key Growth Markets
This rollout represents a calculated deepening in markets where Hilton sees long-term potential.
In India, the expansion includes the Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort & Spa and Hilton Lucknow, targeting both the country’s booming biotech sector and its growing tier-two city travel.
In China, Hilton’s Curio Collection is introducing culturally rich properties like The Reserve Hotel Luoyang, providing gateway access to UNESCO World Heritage sites, and The Curio Collection by Hilton Xi Zhe Wuxi, which blends historic architecture with modern design.
Capturing Transit and MICE Traffic with Strategic Locations
A critical component of the strategy focuses on convenience-driven travel.
Hilton is opening properties directly integrated with major transportation infrastructure, such as the Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, linked to Terminal 3, and the Hilton Garden Inn Yokohama Minatomirai in Japan, positioned to serve the region’s major MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) venues.
These hotels cater to the high-volume business and transit passenger segment, ensuring Hilton captures demand across the entire traveler journey.
The expansion also marks entries into new markets like Fiji with the Hilton Garden Inn Suva and strengthens resort offerings in Australia with the Hilton Palm Cove Cairns Resort & Spa, located near the Great Barrier Reef.
This comprehensive approach ensures Hilton’s footprint keeps pace with the dynamic growth of Asia-Pacific tourism, offering relevant choices for every travel occasion.
