A key focus was the signature concept of island hopping, a unique experience setting Seychelles apart from Indian Ocean competitors.

TÜRKIYE – Tourism Seychelles has wrapped up a successful participation at the 29th East Mediterranean International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (EMITT), held 5–7 February 2026 in Istanbul.
The destination’s presence comes on the heels of remarkable momentum: Turkish arrivals have surged 32% over the past three years, signaling strong appetite for long-haul tropical escapes from Türkiye.
Building Bridges in a Promising Market
Representing the archipelago were Market Manager Amia Jovanovic-Desir and Marketing Executive Christina Cecile, who engaged with tour operators, wholesalers, and media throughout the event.
The Seychelles stand buzzed with activity, featuring vibrant visuals and presentations showcasing the granite-framed beaches and distinct personalities of Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue across the 115 islands.
Island Hopping Takes Center Stage
A key focus was the signature concept of island hopping, a unique experience setting Seychelles apart from Indian Ocean competitors.
Trade partners learned how travelers can combine cosmopolitan Mahé with the laid-back charm of Praslin’s Anse Lazio and car-free, timeless La Digue, home to iconic Anse Source d’Argent.
The delegation emphasized easy inter-island travel via ferries and short flights, allowing visitors to craft multi-center itineraries blending beach relaxation with snorkeling, diving, and Creole culinary experiences.
Turkish Partners Eager for Fresh Experiences
Jovanovic-Desir noted many Turkish agents reported clients who’ve explored similar destinations are now seeking new alternatives.
“There is strong willingness among partners to position Seychelles as the next preferred destination,” she said, adding EMITT provided “an invaluable opportunity to connect with key trade partners and media representatives, laying the groundwork for future collaborations.”
She stressed the importance of continued training to strengthen product knowledge, particularly around island-hopping concepts.
A Destination Built for Sustainable Growth
Seychelles welcomed 308,854 visitors through October 2025, a 12% increase over 2024, with tourism revenues reaching $803 million in the first three quarters.
With visa-free entry for most nationalities, UNESCO World Heritage sites like Vallée de Mai, and commitment to environmental protection, Seychelles offers Turkish travelers a compelling blend of luxury, nature, and authenticity.
Laying Groundwork for Long-Term Success
EMITT 2026 participation forms part of Tourism Seychelles’ strategy to diversify source markets and build resilience through sustained visibility.
For Turkish holidaymakers seeking powder-white beaches, giant tortoises, and a warm Creole welcome, Seychelles is positioning itself as the next great Indian Ocean discovery.
