Moon World Resorts unveils US$5B lunar-shaped smart city destinations across 10 countries

The project has identified 10 target countries for regional partnerships: Australia, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Poland, Spain, Thailand, the UAE, and the United States.

GLOBAL – Moon World Resorts has revealed its revolutionary Smart City masterplan, bringing a vision of lunar-inspired luxury to Earth with moon-shaped mega-resorts planned for 10 global locations.

The first US$5 billion development is expected to open in 2032, offering a blend of space tourism, five-star accommodation, wellness innovation, and luxury residential living within a massive 312-meter-tall spherical structure.

A Lunar Landing in the Middle East and Beyond

The project has identified 10 target countries for regional partnerships: Australia, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Poland, Spain, Thailand, the UAE, and the United States.

For the Middle East, the UAE emerges as a frontrunner, with co-founder Michael R. Henderson citing Dubai’s infrastructure, tourism volume, and global brand recognition as compelling advantages over other regional contenders.

The World’s Largest Sphere: By the Numbers

At the heart stands a breathtaking architectural marvel: a true sphere measuring 271 meters in diameter and soaring 312 meters above ground.

Inside, a 4,000-room all-suite five-star hotel anchors the complex, topped by an “authentic lunar surface and lunar base” attraction capable of welcoming 2 million guests annually.

The masterplan sprawls across 2 million square meters, featuring convention centers, wellness facilities, restaurants, retail, and educational spaces.

Surrounding the central sphere, 10,000 luxury branded residences spread across 16 unique sphere buildings and 20 tower structures complete the integrated community.

Space Tourism for the Masses

What truly distinguishes Moon is democratizing the space experience.

For approximately US$500, guests can enjoy a 90-minute journey including a moon shuttle ride and exploration of an active lunar colony. Co-founder Sandra G.

Matthews emphasizes the transformative mission: “It is our mission from day one to connect guests to themselves, to others, to planet earth, to the galaxy and beyond.”

This signature attraction alone could draw 2.5 million annual visitors.

A Smart City Built on Logic and Mathematics

Henderson explains that Moon was “conceived out of pure logic and mathematics; everything about MOON is entirely logical and the math pencils out perfectly.”

Funding relies on private capital and off-plan residential sales, with the central resort component estimated at US$5 billion excluding land. LEED Gold accreditation and smart city technologies underscore the environmental commitment.
