Palazzo San Gottardo Lake Como opens as Radisson Collection debut 

ITALY – Palazzo San Gottardo Lake Como, a Radisson Collection Hotel has been opened in the heart of Como one of the world’s most celebrated lakeside destinations, marking the official debut of the Radisson Collection. 

Originally opened in 1926, the historic palazzo now begins a new chapter under the stewardship of Radisson Hotel Group.  

Carefully restored to preserve its architectural soul, the property blends original façades, elegant stone cornices, and geometric detailing with contemporary interiors, refined materials, and modern Italian craftsmanship to reflect a balance between honoring heritage and embracing modern luxury. 

Ideally located between the vibrant Piazza Cavour and Piazza Volta, and just steps from the city’s historic center, the hotel offers 70 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites. Each space reflects understated elegance, featuring bespoke furnishings, warm contemporary tones, and curated views of Como’s charming streets and Piazzas 

Dining at the hotel is a celebration of Italy’s culinary artistry, expressed across three distinct venues. At its heart is Radiante, the signature fine dining restaurant led by Danilo Vella, where regional traditions meet contemporary creativity. 

Guests can also enjoy sweeping city views at Lumi Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, offering refined light fare, signature cocktails, and curated wines. Meanwhile, Caffè Lariano, guided by Mirko Gatti, presents a modern bistro experience rooted in seasonal ingredients and a thoughtful zero-waste philosophy. 

The hotel’s SPA Fontea offers an intimate urban sanctuary inspired by natural springs, featuring personalized treatments, a relaxation lounge, and dedicated indoor water facilities designed to restore balance and tranquility.
