Gregory will officially take the reins by 5 August, bringing a wealth of franchising and multi-market expertise to the brand.

AUSTRALIA – Domino’s Pizza Enterprises has found its next leader, and he comes with a serious appetite for success.
The Australia-based pizza giant has named Andrew Gregory, a seasoned quick-service restaurant veteran with over 30 years of experience, as its new Group CEO and Managing Director.
Gregory, who previously helmed McDonald’s Australia and New Zealand, will officially take the reins by 5 August, bringing a wealth of franchising and multi-market expertise to the brand.
A Seasoned Operator with Global Chops
Gregory isn’t just any executive; he’s a QSR lifer with a remarkable track record.
Beyond leading McDonald’s down under, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Support Officer in Japan, overseeing supply chain, operations, and development.
This international perspective, combined with his deep understanding of franchisee economics and measured expansion, made him the standout candidate in what Domino’s described as a “comprehensive global search process.”
His appointment signals a clear intent to sharpen execution and strengthen franchise partnerships across the company’s diverse markets.
Confidence from the Top and a Smooth Transition
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Executive Chairman Jack Cowin expressed strong confidence in the new hire, praising Gregory as a “highly regarded operator and leader” perfectly placed to steer the company through its “next phase of performance improvement and growth.”
Cowin will remain actively involved during a structured handover period, working shoulder-to-shoulder with Gregory to ensure “continuity, stability and momentum.”
This measured approach allows the incoming CEO valuable time to connect with franchise partners, market leaders, and teams before fully taking command.
Fresh Leadership, Fresh Slice of Strategy
Gregory’s appointment comes on the heels of another key leadership move: last month, Domino’s appointed Merrill Pereyra as the new CEO for Australia and New Zealand.
Together, these changes signal a deliberate, comprehensive refresh of the company’s top table. For franchisees and investors, the arrival of a proven operator with a collaborative style and a history of strengthening franchise systems offers a promising slice of optimism.
With fresh eyes, deep experience, and a clear strategic focus, Domino’s Pizza Enterprises appears ready to knead its dough into shape and rise to new heights.
