Air Peace, Emirates expand interline pact for seamless West African travel

Key new connections now include services to Banjul and Dakar via Abidjan, and to Freetown and Monrovia via Accra.

WEST AFRICA – A strategic partnership between Air Peace and Emirates has deepened, significantly enhancing connectivity for West and Central Africa.

The airlines have expanded their existing interline agreement, enabling seamless, single-ticket travel with through-checked baggage across combined networks, offering passengers greater convenience and streamlined journeys to Dubai, the UK, and beyond.

Broadening the Route Network

This enhanced collaboration builds upon a successful existing partnership that already provided access to 13 Nigerian cities.

The newly expanded agreement introduces a range of new routing options, increasing reach and flexibility.

Key new connections now include services to Banjul and Dakar via Abidjan, and to Freetown and Monrovia via Accra.

This expansion dramatically extends the reach of Emirates’ global network through Air Peace’s regional footprint, while providing African travelers with vastly improved access to Dubai’s international hub.

From there, passengers can connect effortlessly to a vast array of worldwide destinations, including multiple London airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted) and other major global cities.

A Strategic Win for Regional Connectivity

For travelers across Nigeria and West Africa, this partnership eliminates the complexity of multiple bookings.

The ability to purchase a single ticket for an entire journey, with baggage checked through to the final destination, creates a more efficient and less stressful travel experience.

For Air Peace, this move is a pivotal strategic step in its mission to link African markets more effectively with the global economy.

Leveraging its extensive regional network alongside Emirates’ international scale positions the airline as a formidable connector, facilitating both business and leisure travel.

The partnership solidifies Air Peace’s role as a leading continental carrier, enhancing its capability to bridge passengers to key markets in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Commitment to African Market Growth

Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, emphasized that the expanded collaboration underscores the airline’s long-term commitment to the African continent.

He noted that by simplifying connections from Africa to the UAE and onwards, Emirates aims to support not only tourism but also trade and investment flows between Africa, the Middle East, and other global regions.

On the operational front, Emirates continues to serve the Dubai-Lagos route with its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, offering premium services including regionally inspired cuisine and its exclusive First Class cabin, a rarity on flights into Nigeria.
