The launch covers urban centers like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, and emerging destinations such as Mussoorie, Jim Corbett, and Bodhgaya, bridging business hubs with tourism hotspots.

INDIA – Marriott International has launched its newest brand, Series by Marriott, marking a global debut with 26 openings across 23 Indian cities.

This unique concept adds over 1,900 rooms under a collaboration with Concept Hospitality Private Limited and The Fern Hotels & Resorts, reflecting Marriott’s ambitious expansion in the region.

Series by Marriott offers a fresh, affordable alternative tailored to India’s domestic travel market. It combines Marriott’s globally trusted standards with regionally inspired experiences.

The brand aims to meet diverse traveler needs by blending comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury at competitive rates.

The launch covers urban centers like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, and emerging destinations such as Mussoorie, Jim Corbett, and Bodhgaya, bridging business hubs with tourism hotspots.

Notably, Marriott’s expansion into cities like Bhiwandi, Dapoli, and Solapur highlights its commitment to regional tourism growth beyond major metros.

Each hotel integrates local culture with global hospitality through regionally inspired décor, cuisine, and guest services.

This approach ensures a strong sense of place while maintaining the reliability and quality guests expect from Marriott.

Senior Vice President Kiran Andicot emphasized that India’s booming domestic travel demand makes the country an ideal launchpad for this brand.

The 26 openings signal the start of a broader global rollout, with over 100 additional hotels planned within the next year.

This strategic move enables Marriott to diversify its portfolio, engage new customer segments, and support sustainable growth aligned with evolving traveler expectations across India.

Marriott International has pursued an aggressive global expansion strategy over the past two years, complementing its recent Series by Marriott launch in India.

The company has announced plans to open over 50 hotels adding more than 9,000 rooms across Africa by the end of 2027, entering new markets including Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar, and Mauritania.

Marriott continues to grow its portfolio in East Africa with six new safari lodges and camps, including The Ritz-Carlton Masai Mara Safari Camp in Kenya and Mapito Safari Camp, Serengeti, scheduled to open soon.

In addition, Marriott is restoring and elevating historic properties, including The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Madrid, and opening new landmark hotels such as the JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa.

The company is also expanding luxury experiential travel, exemplified by the upcoming Ritz-Carlton superyacht Luminara launching Mediterranean and Asia-Pacific voyages in 2025.
