Hilton has made remarkable investments in Saudi Arabia over the past two years, with a combined owner and investor commitment of around US$8 billion.

SAUDI ARABIA – Hilton has signed an agreement with Wirgan Hospitality to rebrand two hotels in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, the first Tapestry Collection by Hilton and a DoubleTree by Hilton, both set to open before the end of 2025.
These additions will nearly double Hilton’s trading presence in Makkah to over 4,100 rooms, reinforcing Hilton’s commitment to Saudi Vision 2030 and hospitality growth in the Holy City.
Carlos Khneisser, Chief Development Officer for Hilton MEA, highlighted that Hilton recently surpassed 100 hotels trading or in the pipeline in Saudi Arabia.
The partnership with Wirgan Hospitality expands Hilton’s diverse portfolio to meet the needs of all travelers, from the Tapestry Collection’s authentic Saudi heritage design to DoubleTree’s signature warm chocolate chip cookie welcome.
The 1,386-room Wirgan Al Noor, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, located near Jabal Al Noor, will offer sweeping views and proximity to Islamic landmarks such as the Zamzam Well.
Its Arabian-inspired design includes two large ballrooms, eight meeting rooms, multiple dining options, shuttle services to the Haram, a fitness center, and a kids club.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Makkah Aziziyah will feature 381 stylish rooms in the vibrant Aziziyah district near Mina and Jamarat, convenient for pilgrims.
Amenities include varied dining options, a business center, and shuttle services to the Haram.
Omar Al Harbi, CEO of Wirgan Hospitality, expressed pride in partnering with Hilton to elevate hospitality standards in one of Saudi Arabia’s most significant religious destinations.
With 21 hotels currently operating in Saudi Arabia and 83 more planned, Hilton is firmly positioning itself as a leader in the Kingdom’s hospitality sector.

Apart from the newly signed hotels in Makkah, Wirgan Al Noor, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and DoubleTree by Hilton Aziziyah, Hilton has expanded its footprint with luxury and lifestyle properties across the Kingdom.
Notable projects include the Conrad Riyadh Laysen Valley, a 170-key luxury hotel opening in 2025, and the Hilton and Canopy by Hilton residences in Abha at the Abha Terraces project.
Hilton is also actively involved in giga-projects like the Red Sea Development.
The company plans to add over 22,000 rooms in Saudi Arabia, supporting job creation with more than 15,000 new positions, emphasizing a commitment to Saudi Vision 2030 and regional economic development through diversified hospitality offerings across urban and emerging destinations.
