Bahrain Marina Development Company partners with Nass Contracting to build iconic beachfront facilities

BAHRAIN – Bahrain Marina Development Company (BMDC), the master developer of Bahrain Marina, one of the Kingdom’s premier waterfront destinations, has signed a landmark agreement with Nass Contracting Company to construct the project’s beachfront facilities.

The agreement was formalized at the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum held at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay on November 2, 2025.

It was signed by Eng. Hisham Almoayyed, Acting CEO of BMDC, and Eng. Mazen Mattar, CEO of Nass Corporation.

Under the contract, Nass will design and build over 8,000 square meters of beach facilities, including a 130-meter beachline, a 400-square-meter family infinity pool with panoramic sea views, and a dedicated children’s splash pool with water play features.

The project also includes shaded beach cabanas, integrated water sports amenities, advanced landscaping, and supporting leisure infrastructure.

Eng. Almoayyed emphasized the strategic importance of partnering with Nass, known for its quality and excellence.

Nass CEO Mattar highlighted the project’s technical complexity and his company’s commitment to meeting the highest standards on schedule.

Bahrain Marina is a mixed-use development on Manama’s eastern coast, blending luxury freehold residences with retail, entertainment, a modern marina, a marina club, and premium hospitality.

The project aims to enhance Bahrain’s real estate and tourism sectors, solidifying its role as a regional hub for waterfront living and leisure.

This development reflects Bahrain’s ambitions for economic diversification and leisure-driven investment growth.

Bahrain has witnessed significant beachfront investment and openings in the past year, notably with the launch of the Foster + Partners-designed Bilaj Al Jazayer Beach masterplan.

Spanning 3.5 kilometers, this mixed-use district on Bahrain’s southwest coast features luxury homes, boutique hotels, retail outlets, and green public spaces connecting directly to the waterfront.

The project integrates Art Deco influences with traditional Bahraini architecture, offering shaded courtyards, tree-lined streets, and a unique public surf park with wave-generating technology.

Additionally, Bahrain Marina continues development, with Nass Contracting constructing high-end beachfront facilities including infinity pools, waterplay areas, and water sports amenities.

These projects promote Bahrain’s vision as a premier marine and lifestyle destination, boosting tourism and residential appeal. Together, they signify Bahrain’s ambitious waterfront growth strategy, supporting economic diversification and enhancing regional hospitality infrastructure.
