The alliance is a cornerstone of Four Seasons’ footprint expansion in Egypt, also encompassing the under-development Four Seasons Hotel Luxor and other luxury resorts on Egypt’s North Coast.

EGYPT – Businessman Hisham Talaat Moustafa, CEO and Managing Director of Talaat Moustafa Group Holding (TMG), has announced the start of construction on a new luxury hotel complex directly behind the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in West Cairo.
Spanning approximately 350,000 square meters, the project forms a key part of TMG’s strategy to expand its hospitality portfolio with global luxury operator Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.
The hotel will feature upscale rooms and suites, fine dining restaurants, conference and events spaces, and landscaped recreational areas.
Notably, dedicated pedestrian tunnels will connect the hotel directly to GEM, blending Egypt’s rich cultural heritage with modern luxury hospitality. The resort is scheduled to open within three years.
This development aligns with Egypt’s broader plan to transform the Pyramids Plateau and GEM area into a world-class tourism hub, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors yearly.
TMG’s partnership with Four Seasons dates back over two decades and includes iconic properties like Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza and Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano.
The alliance is a cornerstone of Four Seasons’ footprint expansion in Egypt, also encompassing the under-development Four Seasons Hotel Luxor and other luxury resorts on Egypt’s North Coast.
Commenting on luxury tourism trends, Hisham Talaat Moustafa noted room rates at top-tier hotels in Cairo now exceed $1,000 per night, with Aswan rates approaching US$850, reflecting strong demand and the sector’s resilience.
Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts has significantly expanded its presence in Egypt and North Africa over the past year.
Key projects include the upcoming Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences New Cairo Capital at Madinaty, set to open in 2025 with 346 rooms, suites, villas, and luxury residences designed by Pierre Yves-Rochon.
Additionally, Four Seasons Hotel Luxor, with 200 guest rooms and suites overlooking the Nile and nearby historic sites, is also slated for 2025 opening.
The company has enhanced its Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Sharm El Sheikh with an expansion featuring 69 new private residences.
These investments underscore Four Seasons’ commitment to delivering luxury experiences, broadening its footprint in Egypt’s booming luxury tourism market, and tapping into the region’s growing demand for upscale hospitality.
