The chain aims to surpass 1,000 international stores within several years, part of a wider goal to drive system sales above US$1 billion by 2025.

GLOBAL – Thailand’s Café Amazon has expanded rapidly into new markets including Laos, the Philippines, Japan, Oman, and Bahrain through strategic franchise partnerships.

Operated by PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR), Café Amazon grew from a small coffee stop in PTT gas stations to one of Asia’s largest café chains, boasting over 5,000 outlets worldwide.

In the second quarter of 2025, Café Amazon sold over 107 million cups of coffee, averaging 1.2 million daily, a 4.9% increase compared to the previous year. This growth is driven by new store openings and steady consumer demand.

The chain sources premium Arabica beans from farms in northern Thailand, such as Pang Khon, Phah Lang, Mae Wang, and Doi Inthanon.

This commitment to quality and origin strengthens the brand’s appeal internationally.

Domestically, Café Amazon continues to enhance its OASYS hub in Ayutthaya, which integrates coffee roasting, bakery production, distribution, and a barista academy, supporting zero-wastewater protocols and sustainable energy through solar panels.

The chain also champions social impact through its ‘Café Amazon for Chance’ programme, employing over 430 underprivileged workers, including the elderly and hearing-impaired.

Following its strategic withdrawal from Vietnam after five years, Café Amazon refocused growth on key international markets by expanding franchise opportunities.
