KUWAIT – United Projects for Aviation Services (UPAC) has officially opened the redeveloped Messilah Beach, Kuwait’s newest and most comprehensive beachfront destination.

Developed by Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC) through an innovative public–private partnership, Messilah Beach spans over 70,000 square meters with direct access to a 250-meter sandy shore.

The project, managed by UPAC under a 17-year contract, includes leasing, recreational activities, facilities management, and operations.

The grand reopening featured vibrant celebrations with live music, stage performances, and family-friendly activities that embraced Kuwait’s coastal heritage.

The new Messilah Beach offers diverse facilities such as four swimming pools, a children’s play area, a Sky Trail adventure course, sports courts, garden spaces, and 350 shaded parking spots.

Its design targets year-round visitors seeking relaxation and fun in a safe, welcoming atmosphere.

UPAC CEO Eng. Hamad Malallah emphasized the partnership’s focus on professionalism, innovation, and quality facility management.

In July 2025, Messilah Beach introduced Villa Shams, Kuwait’s first ladies-only beach club, now transformed into a beachside restaurant while maintaining an exclusive ambience.

TEC CEO Engineer Anwar Al-Hulaila highlighted the project’s alignment with Kuwait Vision 2035, aiming to position the country as a leading regional tourism and leisure destination.

The complete renovation in 2023 and transition to private management in 2024 demonstrate a model for sustainable tourism development.

Messilah Beach revitalizes a historic coastal area with modern, world-class standards, combining public amenities and private sector expertise.

This flagship project boosts Kuwait’s tourism sector, enhancing the seaside experience for residents and international visitors alike while supporting economic diversification.

UPAC’s involvement in Messilah Beach complements its portfolio, which includes co-investment in Abu Dhabi’s US$1.3 billion Reem Mall, reflecting its leadership in regional real estate and facilities management.

This reopening marks a pivotal milestone for Kuwait’s growing leisure infrastructure and its ambition to attract diverse travelers with quality and cultural authenticity.

Kuwait’s tourism sector is steadily growing, with tourism receipts expected to reach approximately US$21.4 billion by 2028, up from US$18 billion in 2023.

Tourist arrivals are projected to rise to nearly 11.8 million by 2028, reflecting the country’s expanding appeal as a travel destination.

Major attractions include the iconic Kuwait Towers, Al Hamra Tower, and the Sabah Al-Ahmad Sea City. With infrastructure projects like the Kuwait National Cultural District and growing hospitality investments, Kuwait aims to elevate its status as a regional tourism hub, supporting diversified economic growth and increased visitor experiences.
