ITALY/ARMENIA – The Wendy’s Company has announced plans for significant international growth with the signing of two major franchise agreements that will see the brand establish 190 new restaurants across Italy and Armenia over the next decade.

In Italy, Wendy’s is partnering with Your Food S.R.L. to develop 170 restaurants in a nationwide rollout extending through 2035.

The opening phase targets Milan, where the first two locations are scheduled to open in the city’s vibrant dining scene by mid-2026.

Your Food chairman Mario Resca expressed pride in joining forces with Wendy’s, emphasizing the goal to deliver the chain’s signature fresh, high-quality food to Italian consumers.

Resca noted that this collaboration marks an exciting chapter in Italian quick service dining, blending bold innovation with a respect for local tastes and hospitality standards.

He further stated the company’s aim to create memorable guest experiences and to establish Wendy’s as a new favorite within Italy’s renowned food culture.

Meanwhile, Wendy’s has reached an exclusive agreement with Wen Restaurant LLC to introduce 20 new locations in Armenia by 2030.

The inaugural Armenian restaurant is set to debut in the heart of Yerevan, where Wendy’s hopes to captivate diners with its famous menu and contemporary service model.

CEO Hrant Grigoryan of Wen Restaurant highlighted the ambition to redefine Armenia’s quick service sector, underscoring quality, customer care, and a modern menu as the brand’s unique market strengths.

Wendy’s International President EJ Wunsch described these agreements as clear evidence of the company’s successful international growth strategy.

He said that each new partnership increases momentum, moving the brand closer to its ambitious goal of reaching 2,000 international restaurants by 2028.

Wunsch emphasized that the combination of Wendy’s globally recognized standards and its partners’ regional expertise would produce high-performing, locally relevant restaurants.

Both franchise groups bring extensive experience in food, hospitality, and retail—ensuring that Wendy’s brand promise of “Fresh Famous Food, Made Right, For You” becomes a reality in these new territories.

Wendy’s move into Italy and Armenia not only broadens its international footprint but also signals its confidence in new markets with discerning consumers and dynamic food cultures.

These projects will create hundreds of new jobs and contribute to the development of quick service dining in both countries.
