Fastjet Zimbabwe expands regional reach, appoints APG Zambia as official general sales agent

APG Zambia, part of a global airline representation network with over 100 offices worldwide, will now be responsible for promoting and selling Fastjet flights between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

ZIMBABWE – Following the launch of direct flights between Harare and Lusaka, Fastjet Zimbabwe has appointed Air Promotion Group (APG) Zambia as its official General Sales Agent for the Zambian market, aiming to strengthen its regional presence and enhance customer service across Southern Africa.

This strategic partnership comes on the heels of Fastjet’s recent introduction of direct flights connecting Harare and Lusaka, a route designed to boost regional connectivity and economic ties.

APG Zambia, part of a global airline representation network with over 100 offices worldwide, will now be responsible for promoting and selling Fastjet flights between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Their duties include managing customer inquiries and providing comprehensive support to both clients and trade partners throughout Zambia.

With a strong local presence and deep market expertise, APG Zambia is well-positioned to enhance Fastjet’s brand visibility and drive growth in this key regional market.

Vivian Ruwuya, Chief Commercial Officer of Fastjet Zimbabwe, welcomed the partnership, stating, “Zambia is a new and important market for us. With APG’s extensive experience and dedicated sales team on the ground, we are confident they will deliver excellent service and expand our market reach.”

She emphasized that the appointment aligns with Fastjet’s broader strategy to improve service delivery, increase market accessibility, and strengthen relationships with partners and customers.

Customers in Zambia can conveniently book and pay for Fastjet flights at APG Zambia’s offices located in Lusaka’s central business district (The Grove, Ngwerere Road) and at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (Office F06, 1st Floor, Concourse Section).

Fastjet offers flexible booking options and generous baggage allowances across its network.

Since commencing operations in 2015, Fastjet Zimbabwe has grown into a multi-award-winning airline, connecting key cities within Zimbabwe and offering international flights to Johannesburg, South Africa, and now Lusaka.

The addition of the Harare-Lusaka route, operated thrice weekly with a 50-seat Embraer ERJ145 aircraft, is expected to stimulate tourism, trade, and investment between the two countries.

Donahue Cortes, Fastjet Zimbabwe’s Business CEO and Country Head, described aviation as a catalyst for economic development and highlighted the new route’s potential to unlock opportunities for collaboration and cultural exchange in the region.

This appointment of APG Zambia as GSA marks a significant milestone in Fastjet Zimbabwe’s regional expansion, reinforcing its commitment to delivering seamless travel experiences and strengthening Southern Africa’s aviation network.
