Future Hospitality Summit Africa 2025: Cape Town set to host industry’s most influential gathering

This year’s summit promises to be the continent’s premier platform for hospitality investment, development, and sustainability, bringing together more than 450 decision-makers from over 40 countries.

SOUTH AFRICA – From June 17 to 19, 2025, Cape Town will welcome the Future Hospitality Summit Africa (FHS Africa), drawing top investors, developers, and thought leaders to shape the continent’s hospitality future through investment, innovation, and collaboration.

Africa’s hospitality sector is entering a pivotal era, and all eyes will be on Cape Town this June as the Future Hospitality Summit Africa (FHS Africa) convenes at The Westin.

This year’s summit, the first since the rebranding of the Africa Hospitality Investment Forum (AHIF), promises to be the continent’s premier platform for hospitality investment, development, and sustainability, bringing together more than 450 decision-makers from over 40 countries.

FHS Africa’s transformation from AHIF is more than a simple name change.

It’s a strategic move that integrates Africa’s leading hospitality investment event into the broader Future Hospitality Summit portfolio, aligning it with flagship gatherings in the Middle East.

This evolution is designed to connect African markets with international capital and expertise, fostering cross-market collaboration and unlocking the continent’s vast potential as a global tourism and hospitality destination.

The summit arrives at a time of remarkable momentum for Africa’s hospitality industry. The continent is experiencing a record-breaking pipeline of hotel developments, with more than 300,000 new rooms projected by 2030.

Cities like Nairobi, Casablanca, Cape Town, and Addis Ababa are at the forefront, with Nairobi’s average daily rate up 164% and Casablanca’s up 141% since 2019-a testament to the sector’s growing profitability and appeal.

Over three days, delegates will engage in a dynamic program featuring workshops, roundtables, and interactive content sessions tailored to business priorities.

Key themes for 2025 include innovative financing models, sustainable investment and ESG, cross-border collaboration, branded residences, and the impact of technology on hospitality.

Attendees will also benefit from enhanced networking opportunities, with an open exhibition floor and curated country showcases highlighting investment-ready projects.

The summit’s rebranding under The Bench’s FHS umbrella ensures African stakeholders gain global exposure, positioning the continent’s markets on the world’s largest hospitality investment stage.

At last year’s event, more than US$365 million in deals were signed, underscoring the summit’s role as a catalyst for real investment and growth.
