EGYPT – Somabay has elevated its Red Sea offering through the Soma Sports Arena, a state-of-the-art complex designed to attract both elite athletes and digitally active younger travelers seeking performance-led escapes.

In January 2026, the arena successfully hosted 47 players from Delay Sports Berlin for a football training camp featuring sessions led by international professionals, generating strong engagement within football culture enthusiasts and digitally active audiences.

This was followed by the ONEflow Sports Football FAM Trip, welcoming sports ambassadors, international club managers and player agents for immersive networking experiences.

Additionally, the destination’s tennis credentials have elevated significantly through partnerships with ONEflow Sports and The S Tennis Academy.

Further, with the twelve new hard tennis courts Somabay has positioned itself as host of the ATP Challenger and ITF World Tennis Tour M15, welcoming 305 international players and cementing its place on the global tennis calendar.

In November 2025, Somabay hosted Golf & Gourmet, transforming the destination into a hub of refined dining and championship golf.

Each evening, guests gathered under the stars for exclusive menus crafted by six Michelin-starred chefs, while the Somabay Golf World Cup welcomed a record 179 participants from 23 countries, underscoring the tournament’s growing global stature.

More importantly, Somabay partner with accommodation facilities like Kaktus as the official accommodation and sports training camp hub. The hotel operates a flexible service model ensuring seamless, performance-focused experiences for athletes while curated food and beverage concepts connect families and visitors to the wider Somabay community.

Beyond training and tournaments, athletes and visitors enjoy pristine beaches, diving experiences and year-round sunshine. The integration of professional facilities with lifestyle amenities creates a destination appealing to multiple segments simultaneously, reducing dependence on any single traveler demographic or seasonal pattern.

Somabay’s transformation underscores the fact that specialized infrastructure combined with global partnerships and luxury experiences creates diversified revenue streams that perform across seasons.

The destination now stands as proof that thoughtful integration of sports, wellness and gastronomy can elevate a region’s global competitive standing while delivering sustained returns through year-round tourism growth.
