USA – Four Seasons Hotel Seattle has appointed Graham Williamson as General Manager, bringing a leader with more than 20 years of international experience across North America, Hawaii, Australia and the United Kingdom to the property.

Williamson is a respected figure within Four Seasons and has served the brand since 2003. He most recently served as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, where he led major renovations and launched new dining concepts including the reimagined ‘ULU and Noio Sushi and Omakase.

His career trajectory from The Scottish Hotel School at the University of Strathclyde through progressive roles across Chicago, Silicon Valley, Scottsdale and Dallas demonstrates how operational excellence transcends geography.

Seattle is defined by creativity, innovation and an extraordinary connection to nature,” Williamson observes.

From the waterfront to the Olympic Mountains visible across Puget Sound, there is a remarkable sense of place here. I look forward to working with our team to create experiences that feel elegant, genuine and deeply connected to the community,” he added.

Williamson’s philosophy emphasizes that “my responsibility is to ensure exceptional and personalized service for our guests, to support and develop our people, and to guide the hotel in a way that reflects both the values of Four Seasons and the spirit of Seattle.

This people-first approach, cultivated through a part-time Scottish restaurant role that revealed his love for caring for others, demonstrates that authentic hospitality creates competitive advantage difficult for competitors to replicate.

Originally from Glasgow, Williamson credits his collaborative and pragmatic leadership style to early experiences in Scotland.

His appointment signals Four Seasons’ commitment to leaders who understand both operational fundamentals and the intangible elements that distinguish luxury properties in competitive markets.

Williamson’s career offers lessons in talent development, renovation management and authentic service delivery.

As regional markets mature, it is evident that leaders who combine global standards with genuine connection to place will increasingly determine which properties thrive and which merely survive.
