SAUDI ARABIA- Rixos Murjana has officially been opened as now the largest ultra-all-inclusive resort in the Kingdom making a bold symbol of Saudi Arabia’s growing global tourism presence.
The resort is in the heart of King Abdullah Economic City, and it represents a powerful collaboration between the Tourism Development Fund, investor Emaar Economic City, and developer FTG Company.
Together, they have created a destination designed not only to welcome travelers, but to redefine the Kingdom’s hospitality landscape.
The grand opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Tourism Development Fund, alongside Qusai Al-Fakhri and Fettah Tamince, Chairman of Rixos Hotels, marking the occasion as a defining milestone for the country’s tourism ambitions.

Beyond its accommodations, Rixos Murjana delivers immersive experiences for every type of traveler. The property features the Middle East’s longest swimming pool at 111 meters, the Solara Beach Club, and the renowned Anjana Spa. Murjana Waterpark is Saudi Arabia’s first fully integrated hotel waterpark offering 11 water attractions alongside dedicated kids and teens clubs.
Speaking at the opening, Al-Khateeb reflected on the significance of the moment, “This project also embodies the role of the Tourism Development Fund in transforming investments into tangible destinations that enhance quality of life, expand tourism choices for families, and contribute to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.”
Al-Fakhri added, “Rixos Murjana embodies the Fund’s vision to empower the private sector and attract foreign direct investment and represents a qualitative step in developing exceptional tourism destinations.”
Tamince emphasized the brand’s confidence in the Kingdom’s future, stating, “The opening of Rixos Murjana marks a defining milestone for Rixos Hotels in Saudi Arabia and reflects our continued confidence in Saudi Vision 2030 for tourism.”
