Deliveroo’s full life campaign expands smart vending support to fight food insecurity in Dubai

The expansion will strategically place these machines in new, high-need areas across the city, such as major mosques, labour accommodations, and other high-traffic zones.

UAE – Deliveroo has expanded its impactful partnership with the ‘Bread for All’ initiative, significantly boosting its support for a network of smart meal vending machines across Dubai.

This next phase of the collaboration, part of Deliveroo’s global Full Life campaign, focuses on increasing the number of machines in key locations to provide consistent, free meals for those in need, directly aligning with the company’s commitment to tackling food insecurity.

A Tech-Driven Solution for Community Nourishment

The initiative, led by the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy, deploys innovative vending machines that offer a continuous supply of essential meals, including bread, pastries, and nutritious rice dishes like biryani.

The expansion will strategically place these machines in new, high-need areas across the city, such as major mosques, labour accommodations, and other high-traffic zones.

This ensures 24/7 access to food for workers and low-income individuals, providing a reliable source of nourishment.

Zainab Juma Al Tamimi, Director of the Centre, praised the ongoing cooperation, highlighting the partnership’s goal of creating sustainable solutions to food security challenges through smart, always-available technology.

Powering Generosity Through Everyday Orders

The meals distributed are funded in a beautifully simple way: through the generosity of Deliveroo’s customers.

The company’s in-app round-up feature allows users to seamlessly donate at checkout by rounding up their order total or choosing a custom amount.

Every contribution goes directly to funding meals through the Bread for All initiative.

By now directly supporting the expansion of the physical vending network, Deliveroo is helping to translate digital generosity into tangible, year-round community support.

A Model for Scalable, Collaborative Social Impact

This deepened collaboration exemplifies how technology platforms can partner with community foundations to create scalable, sustainable social impact.

It moves beyond one-off donations to build a resilient infrastructure for addressing hunger.

For Deliveroo, it’s a core component of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, demonstrating a commitment to the communities it serves.

The partnership sets a powerful example within the regional hospitality and technology sector, showing how innovative thinking and customer engagement can be harnessed to deliver essential support and foster a culture of giving, making a real difference in the fight against food insecurity.
