Greenhouse plans to continue developing its broadline premium supplier services while introducing a curated, sommelier-style sourcing option dedicated to micro-segments like tasting menus and chef’s tables.

UAE – Greenhouse Foodstuff Trading has announced a strategic focus on the UAE’s fine-dining sector, aiming to meet the growing demand for high-end ingredients from top chefs and restaurateurs across the region.
Greenhouse plans to continue developing its broadline premium supplier services while introducing a curated, sommelier-style sourcing option dedicated to micro-segments like tasting menus and chef’s tables.
The strategy emphasizes origin-driven sourcing, prioritizing artisanal producers with compelling culinary stories to meet chefs’ needs for distinctive and consistent products.
Daniel Chidiac, CEO of Greenhouse Foodstuff Trading, said: “Fine dining combines storytelling, craftsmanship, and innovation. Our goal is to amplify what we’ve always done by working closely with chefs, sourcing exceptional ingredients, and enabling their culinary vision.”
The company’s leadership in the UAE Cheese Guild facilitates expanded access to artisanal small-batch cheesemakers and origin-specific dairy from Normandy via partnerships such as Elle & Vire.
This commitment ensures quality and authenticity for core fine-dining recipes like sauces, emulsions, and pastries.
Greenhouse is also emphasizing “centre-of-the-plate” products, sourcing specialty items like corn-fed baby chicken, Madagascan shrimps, and select meat cuts, aligning their portfolio with chefs’ evolving preferences for story-rich ingredients with reliable performance.
To showcase its strategy, Greenhouse hosted “All in Green” at Villa 515, presenting an exclusive all-green menu crafted by Chef Nathan Rueff to select fine-dining chefs across the UAE.
Chidiac added: “We are evolving from a commodity supplier to a collaborative partner, co-creating and investing in lasting quality solutions that empower chefs and elevate fine dining.”
This renewed focus builds on Greenhouse’s decade-long transformation, enhancing its portfolio and strengthening its presence in food service sectors such as luxury hotels, premium dining, catering, and institutional clients across the GCC.
This move aligns with projections showing the UAE’s food and beverage market is set to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.8%, reaching approximately AED161 billion (US$43.84 billion) by 2029.
Within the sector, fine dining is emerging as a dynamic category, valued at AED5.5 billion (US$1.5 billion) and expected to grow over 15% annually.
This growth is driven by tourism, elevated consumer expectations, and rising investment in culinary tourism.
Dubai’s reputation as a gastronomic hub is reinforced by its 19 restaurants featured in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide and 193 venues recognized in the Gault & Millau UAE Guide 2025.
