MOROCCO – Marriott International has unveiled ambitious plans to strengthen its footprint in Morocco by introducing five new brands, Four Points by Sheraton, Moxy Hotels, Residence Inn by Marriott, Autograph Collection Hotels, and AC Hotels by Marriott.
The expansion includes opening seven new properties, providing over 800 rooms across key Moroccan cities by the end of 2027.
Currently, Marriott operates 10 hotels with over 1,700 rooms spread across Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Fez, and Tamuda Bay.
The new properties will further support Morocco’s tourism growth and diversify accommodation options for business and leisure travelers.
Among upcoming openings are Four Points by Sheraton Casablanca Bouskoura in 2026, Moxy Casablanca and Residence Inn by Marriott Casablanca slated for 2027, and the Autograph Collection’s Amerruk Marrakech expected in 2026.
AC Hotels by Marriott Casablanca La Corniche is also planned for 2027.
Regional Vice President Ronny Maier emphasized Morocco as a key market, stating the expansion reaffirms Marriott’s dedication to supporting the local tourism sector, enhancing traveler experiences, benefiting Marriott Bonvoy members, and creating jobs.
Additionally, ongoing renovations include Le Méridien N’Fis Marrakech and new luxury offerings like The Ritz-Carlton Rabat’s private villa enclave.
This robust growth underscores Marriott’s commitment to Morocco’s dynamic hospitality landscape through innovation, service excellence, and diverse hotel offerings.
Marriott International has made notable investments across Morocco and broader North Africa beyond the new brand launches and properties slated for 2027.
The company recently opened Le Méridien Casablanca, combining Parisian heritage with Moroccan flair and contemporary design.
Additionally, Marriott plans to open the Taghazout Bay Marriott Resort in early 2026, offering 250 rooms with beachfront access and diverse dining options.
In Rabat, Marriott is enhancing The Ritz-Carlton Dar Es Salam with “The Retreat,” a private enclave of 24 exclusive villas set to open in 2026, while Le Méridien N’Fis Marrakech undergoes extensive refurbishment.
New dining venues at the Marriott Fès Jnan Palace, including a Spanish-inspired restaurant, complement the enhanced guest experience.
Beyond these, Marriott operates a portfolio across key African markets such as Kenya, Egypt, and Tanzania, driving growth through select-service brands like Delta Hotels and Protea Hotels combined with conversions and adaptive reuse projects.
The company also anticipates launching the St. Regis Marrakech Resort, signaling continued luxury expansion.
These strategic investments reinforce Marriott’s leadership in Africa’s hospitality sector, enhancing offerings and deepening market presence.
