Crowne Plaza Multan will join IHG’s portfolio of over 415 open hotels and nearly 150 in development worldwide.

PAKISTAN – IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a franchise agreement with Serene Tower (PVT) Ltd. to bring the Crowne Plaza brand to DHA Multan, Pakistan’s key cultural and economic hub.
The 200-key Crowne Plaza Multan, scheduled to open in early 2028, will be the brand’s debut hotel in this historic southern Punjab city.
Located within the upscale DHA Multan community, which features extensive commercial developments and a PGA-approved golf course, the new hotel offers prime connectivity along Bosan and Mattital Roads.
It is positioned to attract diverse demand from corporate travel, meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE), as well as the growing golf, education, and healthcare tourism sectors.
Haitham Mattar, Managing Director of IHG Hotels & Resorts, India, Middle East & Africa, called the signing a “significant milestone” reflecting Multan’s rich heritage and rapid economic growth.
He emphasized the strong partnership with Serene Tower (PVT) Ltd. and the shared confidence in meeting rising demand for premium hospitality.
Tahir Nawaz, Chairman of Nawaz Group of Companies, owners of Serene Tower, pledged that Crowne Plaza Multan would be a hospitality landmark redefining standards with world-class amenities and sophisticated design appealing to both business and leisure travelers.
The hotel will feature modern guest rooms, all-day dining venues, flexible meeting spaces, a fitness center, and a swimming pool.
It will embody Crowne Plaza’s commitment to blending work and life seamlessly, supported by creative design and personalized service.
This launch reflects IHG’s focused strategy to grow in high-potential cities across Pakistan and globally.

IHG Hotels & Resorts is increasing its investment in Pakistan beyond Crowne Plaza Multan.
The company is developing several other properties, including a Holiday Inn & Suites in Islamabad’s DHA II, scheduled to open in August 2028 with 150 keys.
This project complements IHG’s strategy to capture the growing market outside traditional major cities. Additionally, IHG has signed a deal for Crowne Plaza Phnom Penh, reflecting regional expansion.
Pakistan’s hospitality sector is growing, and IHG aims to leverage demand through a diverse brand portfolio offering from upscale to lifestyle hotels.
