IHG partners with Jadeer Group to bring Hotel Indigo to New Cairo, expanding luxury & lifestyle hospitality portfolio

Hotel Indigo New Cairo will be situated within the Red (G) mixed-use development, featuring residences, retail, and hospitality, on North 90 Street, one of the city’s most prominent districts.

EGYPT – IHG Hotels & Resorts, a global hospitality leader, has signed a management agreement with Jadeer Group for a new Hotel Indigo property in New Cairo.

Scheduled to open in 2031, the 120-room boutique hotel marks a significant addition to IHG’s growing Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in Northern Africa, strengthening its footprint in Egypt.

Located within the Red (G) mixed-use development, which combines residences, retail, and hospitality spaces, Hotel Indigo New Cairo will occupy a prime spot on North 90 Street, one of New Cairo’s most prominent districts.

The hotel enjoys proximity to key city hubs including the New Administrative Capital, the American University in Cairo, and emerging business and leisure destinations.

Hotel Indigo is one of IHG’s lifestyle brands renowned for offering guests a unique sense of place, similar to the distinctive culture and character found in every neighbourhood.

This New Cairo property will draw inspiration from the city and its vibrant surroundings, reflecting the rich heritage and dynamic spirit of the area through its boutique design and culinary offerings.

Mohamed Abo ElKheir, CEO of Jadeer Group, highlighted the partnership as a landmark move aligned with their vision for Red (G).

He believes the Hotel Indigo brand, which beautifully blends lifestyle and culture, is ideally suited to New Cairo’s growth and appeal.

He expressed confidence that the hotel will attract both local and international travellers seeking authentic and culturally rich hospitality experiences.

IHG’s Managing Director for India, Middle East & Africa, Haitham Mattar, emphasised Egypt’s strategic importance to the company’s growth plans.

He noted that the Hotel Indigo New Cairo signing reflects IHG’s dedication to expanding its range of brands in the country to meet diverse traveler needs and support Egypt’s National Tourism Strategy.

Currently, IHG operates eight hotels in Egypt, including InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, and Staybridge Suites. With 22 hotels in the pipeline, IHG is solidifying its commitment to Egypt’s burgeoning tourism and hospitality sector.

By blending residential, retail, and hospitality experiences, the Hotel Indigo New Cairo is poised to become a cultural and lifestyle centerpiece, exemplifying IHG’s mission to create meaningful guest experiences grounded in a sense of place.
