Hilton expands in Muscat with three new hotels, including debut of Waldorf Astoria

The three hotels will include the Waldorf Astoria Muscat Al Husn, Hilton Muscat Al Bandar, and DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Al Waha.

OMAN – Hilton has announced a strategic agreement with The Zubair Corporation to open three new hotels in Muscat, Oman.

The deal will double Hilton’s presence in the Sultanate and marks the debut of the Waldorf Astoria brand in Oman.

The hotels will be located within the iconic Barr Al Jissah waterfront development.

The signing underscores Hilton’s commitment to expanding its portfolio in emerging diversity-rich markets across the Middle East.

The three hotels will include the Waldorf Astoria Muscat Al Husn, Hilton Muscat Al Bandar, and DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Al Waha.

These properties aim to cater to both leisure and business travelers, leveraging Oman’s rich culture, natural beauty, and strategic location.

Carlos Khneisser, Hilton’s Chief Development Officer for Middle East & Africa, expressed excitement about the project’s potential.

The debut of Waldorf Astoria and the new Hilton brands in Oman signals a new chapter for Hilton in the Sultanate,” Khneisser stated.

These luxury accommodations will support Oman’s Vision 2040, targeting 12 million tourists annually and further solidifying Oman’s reputation as a premium tourism destination.”

The Waldorf Astoria Oman will debut as the Al Husn property, offering 180 luxury rooms and five distinctive dining venues, along with a Waldorf Spa and private beach cove.

The Hilton Muscat Al Bandar will feature 198 rooms, six restaurants, a grand ballroom, and a spa, opening in early 2026.

The DoubleTree Al Waha will provide 302 rooms and four dining options, aiming to attract families and accessible travelers.

Surrounded by mountains and beaches, Barr Al Jissah offers a scenic setting ideal for luxury hospitality.

The new Hilton properties will include extensive amenities such as private beaches, swimming pools, water sports, tennis courts, and wellness facilities.

Hilton has accelerated its investments in the Middle East, with plans to open more than 100 hotels in the region within the next few years.

Key markets include Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Oman. Hilton continues to expand across luxury, lifestyle, and midscale segments with brands like Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, Canopy, and Hilton Garden Inn.

Significant openings and signings are expected in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, and Dubai, supporting regional tourism growth and job creation.

Hilton’s commitment aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and UAE tourism strategies, underlining its focus on sustainable, high-quality hospitality development.
