UAE – Jameel Motors, a leading provider of innovative mobility solutions and the exclusive distributor of Farizon EV, part of Geely Commercial Vehicles in the UAE, has announced a strategic partnership with Careem to accelerate the electrification of commercial delivery fleets across the country.

This collaboration aims to integrate Farizon electric vehicles into Careem’s middle-mile delivery ecosystem, supporting over 20,000 merchants including shops, restaurants, and small businesses, with the goal of reducing carbon emissions and enhancing sustainable, cost-efficient transportation.

Yousef Hussein, Chief Commercial Officer Mobility at Jameel Motors, said, “Our partnership with Careem marks a key step toward sustainable mobility in the UAE.”

“By combining Farizon’s advanced EV technology with Careem’s extensive merchant network, we’re helping thousands of SMEs reduce carbon footprints, lower costs, and align with the UAE’s sustainability ambitions.”

Bassel Alnahlaoui, Chief Business Officer at Careem, added, “Introducing Farizon’s EVs into our delivery operations enables cleaner, efficient logistics that benefit merchants and the environment. At Careem, sustainability is embedded across rides, deliveries, and commercial fleets to help cities move responsibly.

The UAE’s commercial vehicle market is projected to grow from US$2.61 billion in 2025 to US$3.95 billion by 2030, a growth rate led by electric vehicles expanding at an estimated 35% annually.

This strategic partnership directly supports the UAE’s National Electric Fleet Vehicles Policy, which aims to have electric and hybrid vehicles comprise 10% of all vehicles by 2030 and 50% by 2050.

Jameel Motors has been expanding its EV portfolio with Farizon products and focuses on leveraging innovative technology to drive sustainable mobility solutions in the UAE.

Careem’s extensive merchant network and delivery operations provide an ideal platform for scaling electric commercial vehicles to create economic and environmental benefits.

This collaboration fits within broader UAE goals for environmentally sustainable transport and has potential as a model for future regional sustainability initiatives.
