The integration enables over 12,000 hotels and venues to automatically share verified sustainability data from BeCause’s live hub, which hosts more than 2 million data points across 10,000 metrics, directly on their CSN profiles.

US – Cvent has partnered with BeCause, a leading sustainability data hub in travel and tourism, to integrate verified environmental data directly into the Cvent Supplier Network (CSN).
This collaboration empowers event planners to easily identify and book venues that align with their sustainability goals, streamlining the sourcing process for eco-conscious meetings and conferences.
The integration allows over 12,000 hotels and venues to automatically publish verified sustainability information from BeCause’s live data hub, containing more than 2 million data points across 10,000 metrics, onto their CSN profiles.
This eliminates the need for manual reporting and ensures transparency, accuracy, and consistency in sustainability claims.
Event planners are increasingly prioritizing environmental responsibility, with corporate policies now mandating sustainable event practices.
By embedding BeCause’s verified data into CSN, Cvent enables planners to assess venues based on energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, and carbon management, all within a single platform.
Jahanzeeb Ahmed, CCO at BeCause, emphasized the strategic importance: “Sustainability has evolved into a critical component of corporate strategy, prompting demand for greater supply chain transparency.”
He noted that hotels previously faced manual, time-consuming processes to share sustainability data, but this integration removes those barriers.
Jim Abramson, Vice President of Product Management at Cvent, stated the partnership reflects direct feedback from planners and hoteliers.
“We’re proud to work with BeCause to ensure hotels remain competitive in a market that values environmental responsibility,” he said.
Future enhancements will automate the inclusion of sustainability data into hotel responses for Cvent’s Request for Proposal (RFP) process, reducing friction for both sales teams and planners.
In the broader U.S. hospitality landscape, technology is reshaping event planning and guest experiences. AI-powered chatbots, contactless check-in, mobile keys, and data-driven personalization are now standard expectations.
The American Hotel & Lodging Association’s 2025 State of the Industry Report highlights that 96% of hoteliers are investing in contactless technology, while 77% of guests prefer automated communication for quick queries.
Smart kiosks, IoT-enabled rooms, and cloud-based property management systems are streamlining operations and reducing labor costs amid ongoing staffing challenges.
With the U.S. hospitality market projected to reach $250 billion in 2025, technology adoption is no longer optional, it’s essential for competitiveness, efficiency, and sustainability.
This initiative strengthens the hospitality sector’s commitment to ESG goals and supports global efforts to reduce the environmental impact of business travel and large-scale events.
