Keeta secures KDIPA investment license, launching its tech-driven delivery platform in Kuwait

The KDIPA license allows Keeta to operate as a fully foreign-owned company, granting it tax exemptions, customs duty relief on imported equipment, and simplified regulatory approvals.

KUWAIT – Keeta, the international subsidiary of Meituan, China’s leading on-demand delivery technology company, has officially launched in Kuwait after obtaining an investment license from the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA).

This milestone marks Keeta’s formal entry into the Gulf market and underscores its commitment to building a trusted, technology-driven platform that delivers value for consumers and empowers local businesses.

The KDIPA license enables Keeta to operate as a 100% foreign-owned entity, benefiting from tax exemptions, customs duty relief on imported equipment, and streamlined regulatory approvals.

This legal framework has accelerated Keeta’s market integration, aligning with Kuwait’s Vision 2035 goals of economic diversification, talent empowerment, and innovation-driven growth.

Keeta’s platform enables convenient, affordable food and grocery delivery, integrating local and international restaurant partners, innovative technology, and accessible payment solutions.

By supporting digital transformation for restaurants and small businesses, it creates future-ready job opportunities for Kuwaiti talents in logistics, tech, and support roles.

Max Qiu, General Manager of Keeta Kuwait, stated the launch represents a pivotal moment.

With KDIPA’s guidance, we’ve seamlessly integrated into the local market,” he said. “Our commitment extends beyond service delivery, we’re investing in digital capabilities and contributing to a resilient, diversified economy.”

Keeta’s rapid regional expansion, from Saudi Arabia and Qatar into Kuwait, demonstrates its scalable business model, operational discipline, and focus on product innovation.

With Meituan’s global infrastructure, Keeta processes millions of orders daily, helping local consumers access a wide array of dining options.

Keeta’s approach leverages advanced logistics and digital expertise to improve customer convenience, increase merchant opportunities, and build a sustainable digital ecosystem in each new market.

The platform features real-time order tracking, AI-powered delivery routing, and multilingual customer support, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Keeta also offers promotional tools and data analytics for merchants, enabling them to optimize menus, pricing, and marketing strategies based on consumer behavior.

KDIPA’s proactive ecosystem ensures long-term success for international investors, making Kuwait an attractive hub for technology-driven business models in the region.

The UAE, hosting Keeta Drone, will be the company’s next strategic hub for drone-based delivery services and ongoing Middle East expansion.

This announcement highlights the power of public-private collaboration in digital transformation. Keeta’s KDIPA-backed launch reflects Kuwait’s open investment climate and growing role as a regional tech leader.
