Qatar Airways expands US, South America network with 18 new routes through enhanced codeshares

This collaboration now covers flights from Barcelona to popular destinations such as Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Buenos Aires, and Santiago, providing broad coverage across major hubs in the Americas and South America.

QATAR – Qatar Airways has announced a strategic expansion of its global connectivity, adding 18 new routes to the United States and South America via expanded codeshare agreements with IAG partners Aer Lingus and LEVEL.

These enhancements follow a successful partnership launched in 2024, now covering a broader network at both ends of the Atlantic.

The expanded codesharing with Aer Lingus enables Qatar Airways to offer ticketing and seamless connections from Dublin Airport (DUB) to 11 U.S. cities, including Boston, Bradley International, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Nashville, Newark, Orlando, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Las Vegas, which will be added shortly.

The Irish carrier has notably grown its North American presence with its new Airbus A321 XLR aircraft and U.S. Pre-Clearance facilities at Dublin Airport, simplifying entry procedures for travelers.

Meanwhile, Qatar Airways has reintroduced its codeshare partnership with LEVEL at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN).

This collaboration now covers flights from Barcelona to popular destinations such as Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Buenos Aires, and Santiago, providing broad coverage across major hubs in the Americas and South America.

Qatar’s Chief Commercial Officer, Thierry Antinori, emphasized that these new collaborations give passengers more choices and reinforce Qatar’s position as a global leader in connectivity.

He highlighted that travelers can now access over 170 destinations worldwide through Hamad International Airport (HIA), awarded the Best Airport in the Middle East by Skytrax in 2025.

The new partnership extends Qatar Airways’ influence in key markets, ensuring travelers enjoy a consistent high level of service while benefiting from best-in-class connections.

The airline’s Privilege Club members can also earn Avios on these routes, using them for travel rewards, upgrades, and exclusive experiences.

Qatar Airways aims to further strengthen its presence in the U.S. with the opening of a dedicated Business Class lounge at JFK Airport in New York in 2026, catering exclusively to premium passengers.

Overall, the airline’s efforts to expand its codeshare alliances are part of its broader strategy to solidify its position as a leading global carrier.

This development enhances Qatar Airways’ reputation as a top-tier airline offering extensive route options and superior travel experiences across the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.
