The new outlets across Alaska, Utah, Nevada, Colorado, and New Mexico represent one of the largest franchise agreements in QDOBA’s history.

USA – Fast-casual Mexican restaurant chain QDOBA has signed a major development agreement with Barry Dubin, founder and CEO of B Wild Investments, to open 50 new restaurants in the United States.
These locations will span the states of Alaska, Utah, Nevada, Colorado, and New Mexico, marking one of the largest franchise deals in QDOBA’s history.
This ambitious expansion is part of QDOBA’s strategic plan to double its footprint by 2032, capitalizing on significant growth momentum seen in recent years.
The deal signals confidence in the brand’s appeal and operational strength across diverse regional markets.
Barry Dubin expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Core to our investment thesis at B Wild, we are excited to acquire a scaled platform of high-quality assets. Signing this agreement to perpetuate QDOBA’s growth in highly attractive territories is a key milestone for us.”
Dubin brings decades of experience scaling consumer brands, including success expanding foodservice and retail franchises nationally.
The expansion will initially focus on high-potential metro areas and surrounding regions such as Salt Lake City and St. George in Utah; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Las Vegas, Nevada; and areas near Colorado Springs.
These locations were selected for their strong local economies and growing demand for fast-casual dining.
QDOBA’s CEO, John Cywinski, welcomed Dubin’s involvement, highlighting their longstanding relationship.
“Barry is an exceptional leader, strategist, and operator. His joining the QDOBA brand strengthens our growth trajectory and operational expertise,” Cywinski said.
Since the start of 2024, QDOBA has signed agreements with nearly 20 new franchise partners and currently has over 600 restaurants in various stages of development nationwide.
The brand has also been expanding into nontraditional venues including airports, universities, and military bases.
QDOBA’s menu of customizable Mexican dishes, including burritos, tacos, and bowls, paired with modern marketing and digital ordering, continues to resonate with diverse consumer demographics. Its focus on quality ingredients and flavor innovation supports growing market demand.
This strategic franchise alliance with B Wild Investments marks an exciting chapter for QDOBA as it accelerates its growth to become a leading player in the fast-casual restaurant sector across multiple US states.
