flydubai expands network with TAROM partnership, adding seamless access to 15 European destinations

The agreement enables flydubai passengers to seamlessly connect to 15 TAROM destinations through Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP).

UAE – flydubai, Dubai’s innovative low-cost airline, has announced a strategic interline agreement with TAROM, Romania’s flagship carrier.

This agreement allows flydubai passengers effortless connections to 15 destinations across TAROM’s extensive network via Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP).

With this partnership, flydubai customers can now travel seamlessly between the UAE, Romania, and other key cities including Athens, Amsterdam, Brussels, Cluj-Napoca, Frankfurt, Madrid, and Paris.

The integrated booking system provides a simplified travel experience through single-ticket purchases and the convenience of checked baggage transfers to the final destination, removing the hassle of managing multiple tickets or rechecking luggage.

Ramesh Anantharaman, Divisional Senior Vice President of Revenue Management and Business Effectiveness at flydubai, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration.

He explained that the partnership not only expands regional access but also elevates opportunities for trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between Dubai and Central and Eastern Europe.

Our customers benefit from streamlined itineraries and hassle-free travel, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a global aviation hub,” he said.

Since launching flights to Bucharest in 2012, flydubai has witnessed increased passenger demand, fueling its expansion and collaboration efforts.

The airline currently operates twice-daily flights connecting Dubai International Airport (DXB) with Bucharest.

Its network currently spans over 135 destinations across 57 countries, focusing on underserved markets and maintaining a fleet of 93 Boeing 737 aircraft.

TAROM’s General Manager, Costin Iordache, highlighted that the partnership aligns with TAROM’s strategy to provide safe, reliable, and convenient travel experiences while enhancing connectivity between Romania and strategic international markets.

The alliance supports tourism growth and business development in both countries.

Further strengthening its Romanian presence, flydubai will add Iași as its second destination in Romania starting 19 September 2025.

This expansion provides passengers with even more travel options and supports ongoing tourism and economic development initiatives.

This interline agreement can be booked via flydubai’s website, mobile app, traditional travel agencies, and online booking platforms, offering travelers an accessible and convenient way to plan their journeys.

With this collaboration, flydubai and TAROM are jointly opening doors to new markets and enriching travel experiences, demonstrating Dubai’s role as a pioneering global air connectivity hub.
