These appointments are set to elevate guest experiences while reinforcing Capella Hotel Group’s commitment to delivering exceptional service and pioneering luxury hospitality across Asia.

ASIA – Capella Hotel Group has made notable leadership changes by appointing new general managers for three pivotal properties in its Asian portfolio: Capella Singapore, Capella at Galaxy Macau, and the soon-to-be-launched Patina Tianjin.
These strategic appointments reflect the brand’s ongoing efforts to expand and enhance its luxury hospitality offerings across some of Asia’s most sought-after destinations.
Paul Jackson takes the helm at Capella Singapore, bringing nearly two decades of extensive luxury hospitality experience.
Jackson previously served close to ten years as general manager of Claridge’s in London, where he led a comprehensive renovation successfully balancing heritage preservation with modern innovation.
His career also includes leadership roles at prestigious Mandarin Oriental hotels in Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Sanya, as well as experience in markets like Australia, South Korea, and China.
Andy Lio has been appointed general manager of Capella at Galaxy Macau, a role he assumed earlier in 2025 after serving as Assistant Vice President for hotel operations at Raffles at Galaxy Macau.
Lio has nearly twenty years of experience, starting in room operations and progressing through leadership roles with a focus on luxury guest services.
His background includes key positions at the Ritz-Carlton Macau and participation in the pre-opening team for Galaxy Macau.
Roman Angulo has been named general manager of Patina Tianjin, which is set to open in early 2026 in Tianjin’s historic Italian Heritage District.
Spanish-born Angulo brings over twenty years of international hospitality expertise, having served in senior leadership roles at Four Seasons Beijing, Rosewood Beijing, Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, and most recently as hotel manager of Capella Singapore.
His broad experience across Asian and European markets equips him well to lead Patina Tianjin’s debut.
Patina Tianjin is an 18,000 square meter property covering 17 heritage buildings with 145 guest rooms arranged around private garden courtyards, combining history and luxury.
These appointments are expected to enhance guest experiences and support Capella Hotel Group’s mission to deliver exceptional service and innovative luxury hospitality throughout Asia.
With these leadership changes, Capella reinforces its dedication to operational excellence, personalised service, and expanding its footprint in key global destinations.
