UAE – Coral Beach Resort Sharjah has once again reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability by partnering with Dr. Linen Sustainable Ventures FZCO, managing over 700 kilograms of end-of-life linens and uniforms.

This initiative highlights the hotel’s ongoing dedication to responsible resource management and circular economy principles.

The partnership focuses on repurposing textiles that have reached the end of their operational lifespan into sustainable products, ensuring that these materials avoid landfill disposal.

Dr. Linen Sustainable Ventures FZCO will reprocess and blend the old linens and uniforms with virgin fibers to create new, usable commodities, giving the fabrics a second life and reducing environmental impact.

This proactive effort reflects Coral Beach Resort’s strong adherence to its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.

The initiative focuses particularly on responsible waste management and carbon footprint reduction, positioning the hotel as a sustainability leader in the hospitality sector.

Our collaboration with Dr. Linen Sustainable Ventures FZCO shows that even small steps such as responsibly managing end-of-life linens can create significant positive environmental impact,” said Iftikhar Hamdani, Area General Manager of Coral Beach Resort Sharjah.

The textiles used in hotels, including bed linens, towels, and staff uniforms, often face premature disposal, contributing to significant waste streams.

By participating in this recycling and upcycling initiative, Coral Beach Resort actively reduces textile waste while supporting sustainable manufacturing processes.

This initiative aligns with wider global efforts to foster circular economy models that minimize waste and promote the reuse of materials.

Hotels and resorts can significantly influence environmental stewardship through responsible sourcing and end-of-life product management.

The collaboration further underscores the critical role the hospitality industry plays in adopting ESG goals and advancing sustainable development.

Reducing waste and repurposing materials not only lower operational carbon emissions but also support long-term ecological balance.

Coral Beach Resort Sharjah plans to build upon its sustainability initiatives and partner with additional local and international stakeholders to further enhance its environmental impact.

The hotel’s continued commitment to sustainable resource management sets a strong example for other properties in the region, inspiring collective action toward greener hospitality practices.

By championing responsible linen management, Coral Beach Resort demonstrates how hospitality enterprises can integrate sustainability into their core operations while delivering superior guest experiences.
