Leva Hotels announces entry into Southern Africa with new upscale property in Harare, Zimbabwe

The project will convert Chester House into Ekono by Leva @ Chester House, a three-star upscale hotel developed in partnership with Revitus Property Opportunities Real Estate Investment Trust (Revitus REIT).

ZIMBABWE – Dubai-born hospitality brand Leva Hotels has announced plans to make its debut in Southern Africa with the opening of a new property in Harare, Zimbabwe’s capital.

This expansion represents a strategic move by Leva Hotels to tap into Zimbabwe’s emerging tourism market and invigorate the city’s hospitality sector.

The hotel will be situated at 88 Speke Avenue, right in Harare’s central business district.

The project aims to breathe new life into the city’s hospitality scene while preserving Chester House, one of the area’s most recognisable historic landmarks.

This sensitive redevelopment nods to Harare’s cultural and architectural heritage.

Zimbabwe continues to grow as a tourism hub, boasting world-famous landmarks such as Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park.

Harare’s increasing connectivity, with direct flights to Dubai, Johannesburg, Lusaka, and Nairobi, further supports its appeal as a travel and business destination.

The development will see Chester House transformed into Ekono by Leva @ Chester House, a new three-star upscale hotel created in partnership with Revitus Property Opportunities Real Estate Investment Trust (Revitus REIT).

This collaboration reflects confidence in Zimbabwe’s hospitality growth potential.

Once completed, the Harare hotel will offer 117 keys, featuring a combination of modern guest rooms and suites.

The design will cater to both business and leisure travellers, blending comfort, practicality, and style in a contemporary urban setting.

The Ekono by Leva property aims to introduce a fresh, vibrant option for visitors seeking quality accommodations in Harare’s bustling core. It also seeks to set new standards for service and guest experience in the region.

This launch is part of Leva Hotels’ broader regional expansion strategy, focused on delivering consistent brand experiences while adapting to local markets’ unique cultural and economic contexts.

As Zimbabwe’s tourism infrastructure develops, projects like Ekono by Leva are poised to play a vital role in elevating the country’s hospitality offerings, attracting more international and regional visitors.

Leva Hotels’ entrance into Harare signals increased investor interest in Southern Africa’s growing hospitality sector and suggests promising prospects for future growth and regional presence.
