Mercon Development, Gewan Hotels sign strategic partnership to launch integrated hotel residences at Riverton, New Cairo

Gewan’s operational expertise combined with Mercon’s development capabilities is set to deliver a distinctive blend of residential living and premium hospitality, aiming to redefine standards in the region’s hotel residence market.

EGYPT – Mercon Development has announced a significant cooperation agreement with Gewan Hotels and Resorts, marking the first step in a strategic partnership focused on delivering an integrated hotel residential experience within the Riverton project, located in New Cairo’s Fifth Settlement.

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to blending luxury living with world-class hospitality services.

The agreement was formalized by Mr. Ahmed Imbaby, Chairman of Mercon Development, and Mr. Ahmed Hassib, CEO of Gewan Hotels and Resorts.

As part of the deal, Gewan will assume full responsibility for operating and managing the hotel units within Riverton, ensuring adherence to international hospitality standards.

The project itself is being developed in partnership with Kuwait’s Al Tamayoz Company, combining regional expertise and investment.

Spanning an impressive 25 acres, the Riverton development offers a diverse hospitality and lifestyle experience. Its 120 hotel units will cater to long- and short-term residents seeking the convenience of a serviced residential environment.

The complex also features a comprehensive range of facilities aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents and guests alike, including multiple restaurants, well-equipped meeting rooms for business functions, a luxurious spa, a swimming pool, and a modern gym.

The partnership aims to position Riverton as a landmark destination within New Cairo, appealing to professionals, business travelers, and lifestyle seekers who value seamless integration of residential comfort with premium hotel services.
