AVIAREPS Middle East, supported by its Dubai-based team and regional offices in Riyadh and Jeddah, will lead focused marketing and PR efforts across major GCC markets such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

MIDDLE EAST – The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has appointed AVIAREPS Middle East as its official Marketing and Public Relations Representative for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

This appointment marks a significant milestone in HKTB’s global expansion strategy and emphasizes the Board’s strong commitment to the Middle East as a vital source market for inbound tourism.

HKTB’s selection of the GCC region underscores its recognition of this market as a high-priority growth area for Hong Kong.

Known as Asia’s premium travel hub and the world’s third-largest financial centre, Hong Kong attracts GCC nationals with its unique blend of East-meets-West culture, world-class attractions, and premium lifestyle offerings.

These qualities have solidified Hong Kong’s position as a highly sought-after destination for travellers from the Middle East.

AVIAREPS Middle East, operating from a dedicated team based in Dubai with regional offices in Riyadh and Jeddah, will spearhead targeted marketing and public relations initiatives across key GCC markets including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

Their efforts will highlight Hong Kong’s diverse tourism appeal, from luxury shopping and Michelin-starred dining to family-friendly theme parks and expanding halal-certified infrastructure.

According to HKTB’s recent data, arrivals from GCC countries surged by 69% in 2024, reflecting a robust appetite for Hong Kong’s premium travel experiences and distinctive cultural offerings.

The city has significantly expanded its Muslim-friendly facilities, with more than 60 hotels and 190 halal-certified restaurants recognized by CrescentRating, reaffirming its reputation as one of Asia’s most welcoming destinations for Muslim travellers.

The Board’s continued investment in air connectivity supports growing direct flights between Hong Kong and GCC cities, further enhancing accessibility.

The AVIAREPS partnership aims to capitalize on this momentum, creating tailored campaigns that engage GCC audiences and strengthen Hong Kong’s profile as a premier international tourism hub.

Becky Ip, Deputy Executive Director of HKTB, emphasized that this collaboration reflects Hong Kong’s dynamic growth and evolving travel preferences in the GCC, providing an exceptional opportunity to deepen engagement with discerning travellers.

This strategic appointment reinforces Hong Kong’s broader vision to drive sustainable tourism growth and strengthen ties with high-potential global markets, ensuring the city remains a top travel destination for the Middle East.
