Emirates to launch third daily flight to Mauritius starting December 1, 2025

The additional flight will supplement Emirates’ current two daily A380 services, boosting seat capacity on the route by more than 30%.

UAE – Emirates has announced it will introduce a third daily flight to Mauritius beginning December 1, 2025, reinforcing its commitment to support inbound tourism to the island nation.

This additional service will be operated by a three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, flying as EK709 from Dubai to Mauritius and EK710 on the return leg.

The new flight will complement Emirates’ existing two daily A380 services, increasing seat capacity on the route by over 30%.

Currently, Emirates operates two daily flights to Mauritius using its flagship Airbus A380 aircraft, designated EK701/702 and EK703/704.

The new Boeing 777 flight will provide more flexible travel options for passengers, with departure from Dubai at 06:55 local time and arrival in Mauritius at 13:40.

The return flight from Mauritius will leave at 18:30, arriving in Dubai at 01:10 the following day.

These timings cater to travelers from diverse global markets, ensuring seamless connectivity.

The additional service is introduced under a codeshare agreement with Air Mauritius, strengthening the partnership between the two carriers to boost tourism and enhance global access to Mauritius.

Emirates’ expanded schedule aims to facilitate business and leisure travel from key source markets including the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, and Asia, particularly from countries like Japan, China, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.

Since commencing service to Mauritius in 2002, Emirates has carried over 8.8 million passengers and transported more than 126,000 tonnes of cargo.

The airline’s operations have had a significant economic impact on the island, contributing approximately US$530 million through tourism-related spending and supporting thousands of local jobs in the tourism sector.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, expressed gratitude to Mauritian authorities for enabling the additional daily flight.

He emphasized the success of Emirates’ Mauritius route and the airline’s shared vision with Air Mauritius to promote the island globally.

The increased capacity will accommodate growing passenger demand and support the local economy.

Tickets for the new flight are available immediately via emirates.com, the Emirates app, travel agents, and Emirates retail outlets.

The third daily service underscores Emirates’ role as a key driver of tourism growth and connectivity in the Indian Ocean region.
