The introduction of four weekly flights between Amman and Antalya is expected to significantly boost passenger traffic, catering to both leisure and business travelers.
Antalya, famed for its stunning Mediterranean coastline, historical landmarks, and vibrant cultural scene, is a favored destination among Jordanian tourists.
Conversely, the new direct connection facilitates easier access for Turkish visitors to explore Jordan’s rich heritage, including the ancient city of Petra, the Dead Sea, and the capital’s growing cultural attractions.
SunExpress’s decision to expand into QAIA aligns with the airport’s broader strategy to enhance its network and position Amman as a regional aviation hub.
The airline’s commitment to operating multiple weekly flights signals confidence in the growing demand for travel between these two dynamic cities.
This route also complements Jordan’s national tourism goals by encouraging inbound tourism and strengthening economic ties with Turkey.
The collaboration between AIG, Alpha International, and Menzies ensures that passengers will experience seamless ground handling and customer service, contributing to the overall success of the new route.
The modern infrastructure and passenger amenities at Queen Alia International Airport further enhance the travel experience, making it an attractive gateway for international travelers.
As global air travel continues to recover from the impacts of the pandemic, the launch of SunExpress’s direct flights to Antalya represents a positive step toward revitalizing the aviation sector in the Middle East.
It also underscores QAIA’s role in facilitating international connectivity and supporting Jordan’s economic development through tourism and trade.
