UAE – Deliveroo has unveiled a new Education and Skills Programme for its UAE riders, in collaboration with Lynx Educate, an online learning platform.
This initiative underscores Deliveroo’s commitment to enhancing the rider experience and providing growth opportunities across its markets.
The programme, in partnership with leading institutions such as OpenClassrooms and The Open University, offers over 1,500 courses in diverse fields like Data, Design, Development, Education, Marketing, Human Resources, and Project Management, among others.
The platform is entirely free for riders, available in Arabic, English, and Urdu, with 15 courses specifically offered in Urdu to cater to Deliveroo’s diverse rider base.
With a flexible, mobile-friendly learning model, riders can access the courses anytime, anywhere, and at their own pace, making it easy to integrate learning into their busy schedules.
In the UAE, specific courses such as Excel and Business Management are tailored to the local market, providing practical skills to help riders in their personal and professional growth.
In a unique feature, riders can nominate a family member or substitute to benefit from the platform as well, extending the programme’s positive impact beyond Deliveroo’s workforce.
To access the platform, riders simply need to register with their Deliveroo rider ID and email address.
Once registered, they can access Lynx Educate’s user-friendly dashboard to start their learning journey immediately.
Yazan Aburaqabeh, Director of Operations at Deliveroo Middle East, shared that the programme is a part of the company’s commitment to supporting riders in all aspects of their personal and professional development.
He expressed pride in offering riders and their families access to high-quality education to help shape their futures.
Sylvie Milverton, CEO and Co-founder of Lynx Educate, highlighted the enthusiasm for upskilling and lifelong learning among Deliveroo riders and their families.
She emphasized that the collaboration aims to empower riders by providing them with valuable educational resources to develop new skills and achieve their ambitions.
This education programme reflects Deliveroo’s long-term commitment to its rider community, offering them a pathway to growth and success both on and off the road.
