The hotel will feature 446 tastefully appointed guest rooms and suites, designed to provide a serene escape for business travelers and holidaymakers alike.
INDIA – Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, part of global hospitality giant Accor, has partnered with Shrem Airport Hotels to launch Fairmont Mumbai in April 2025.
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is preparing to unveil a striking new address in Mumbai, marking a major milestone in its South Asia growth strategy.
Joining an esteemed global portfolio that includes The Plaza in New York, The Savoy in London, and Fairmont The Palm in Dubai, the upcoming hotel is set to redefine luxury hospitality in India’s financial and cultural capital.
Drawing inspiration from the golden age of Art Deco design, Fairmont Mumbai will fuse timeless elegance with contemporary refinement.
The hotel will feature 446 tastefully appointed guest rooms and suites, designed to provide a serene escape for business travelers and holidaymakers alike.
A full floor devoted to wellness will offer immersive health and rejuvenation experiences, while the expansive 75,000-square-foot event space, one of the city’s largest, will position the hotel as a premier venue for high-profile social gatherings, corporate events, and opulent weddings.
The property will also present a vibrant culinary program across five distinct dining venues.
These include an Indo-French pâtisserie and tea lounge set in a lush garden-inspired space, a dynamic food hall that pays homage to Mumbai’s historic trade routes and dabbawala culture, and a Mediterranean terrace restaurant designed for breezy daytime dining and intimate evening settings.
A bold Chinese concept featuring Sichuan and Cantonese specialties will offer dramatic interiors and views of the nearby airport, while a richly layered cocktail and snifter bar will celebrate stories of Indian explorers abroad through rare spirits and curated mixes.
The hotel’s leadership sees Fairmont Mumbai as more than a luxury stay—it aims to be a cultural hub that blends heritage with innovation.
Rajiv Kapoor, General Manager, expressed confidence that the hotel would deliver exceptional moments through design, service, and personalized experiences.
Nitan Chhatwal, Chairman of Shrem Group, echoed this vision, noting that the collaboration with Fairmont represents a bold new benchmark in the Indian hospitality landscape.
Set to open in 2025, Fairmont Mumbai promises to raise the bar for urban luxury, weaving together design, gastronomy, and wellness into a seamless experience for discerning travelers and locals alike.
