Key infrastructure agreements signed for Palm Hills development in Khasab

Plans include 650 residential units alongside retail spaces, a luxury hotel, and key public facilities such as a mosque, a public majlis, sports fields, a medical centre, and a nursery.

OMAN – Key agreements have been signed to deliver essential infrastructure services for Palm Hills, a landmark real estate development in Khasab set to transform modern living and hospitality in the region.

As part of Oman’s Integrated Residential Neighbourhoods Initiative, led by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, the Palm Hills development is set to redefine sustainable and hospitality-driven community living.

Spearheaded by Musandam Global Investment Company SAOC, the project is advancing with critical infrastructure agreements, reinforcing its vision of a modern, integrated township that supports both residential and tourism growth.

With an estimated investment of RO 70 million (US$15.4 million), Palm Hills will span 635,000 square metres and introduce a dynamic blend of residential, commercial, and hospitality offerings.

Plans include 650 residential units alongside retail spaces, a luxury hotel, and key public facilities such as a mosque, a public majlis, sports fields, a medical centre, and a nursery.

The development also features expansive green spaces, enhancing its appeal as a premier lifestyle and leisure destination.

A key highlight is the inclusion of a hotel designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers, positioning Palm Hills as a gateway for hospitality-driven economic activity in Musandam.

With the region gaining prominence as a unique tourism destination, the hospitality component of Palm Hills is expected to complement Oman’s broader tourism development goals.

The hotel, alongside retail and recreational facilities, is set to attract visitors while supporting local businesses and employment in the hospitality sector.

To ensure world-class infrastructure, agreements have been secured with Nama Water Services Company for water and sewage networks, while Nama Electricity Distribution Company will oversee electricity systems.

Additionally, Oman Broadband Company is implementing a high-speed fibre optic network, reinforcing Palm Hills’ commitment to digital connectivity, an essential factor for both residents and hospitality operations.

The project is also designed to attract both local and international investors, with 25% of the residential units allocated for purchase by Gulf nationals and foreign buyers.

This strategic move aims to boost real estate activity and strengthen Musandam’s position as an emerging tourism and hospitality hub.

Originally unveiled at the 3rd Oman Real Estate Expo (OREX) and Oman Design & Build Week, Palm Hills aligns with the broader objectives of the Integrated Residential Neighbourhoods Initiative, delivering affordable yet high-quality housing while fostering tourism-led economic diversification.

As construction progresses, the project is expected to generate substantial economic momentum in Khasab, creating job opportunities across construction, real estate, hospitality, and retail sectors.

By integrating hospitality, residential living, and commercial spaces, Palm Hills is poised to become a landmark destination that enhances Musandam’s appeal to residents, investors, and visitors alike.
