BAHRAIN – Leading hotel management school Vatel Bahrain has launched a new internship programme in partnership with Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay following a recent MoU, marking a milestone in its commitment to cultivating skilled tourism professionals.
At the signing ceremony in Bahrain, Sheikh Khaled bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, General Director of Vatel Bahrain, affirmed that the college is dedicated to forging robust partnerships across the tourism sector to provide exceptional training and hands-on learning opportunities for students in hospitality, tourism, and hotel management.
He noted that this collaboration reinforces the college’s commitment to producing highly skilled and innovative graduates in alignment with national tourism strategies.
During the event, Mrs. Manuela Brode, General Manager of Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay, and Sheikh Khaled formalized a memorandum of understanding.
Sheikh Khaled indicated that partnering with a distinguished brand like Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay would significantly enhance the practical training available to their learners by providing access to internationally recognized facilities and real-world experiences.
He explained that the initiative is designed to support Bahrain’s Tourism Strategy 2022-2026 and Vision 2030, both of which aim to position the Kingdom as a global leader in tourism and hospitality education.
In her remarks, Mrs. Manuela Brode expressed her enthusiasm over the partnership, emphasizing that the collaboration with Vatel Bahrain to launch an internship program demonstrates the hotel’s commitment to nurturing local Bahraini talent.
She conveyed that the program offers students an invaluable opportunity to immerse themselves in the hospitality industry, gain practical experience, and develop the skills required to excel in their careers.
Brode was confident that the interns would play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Bahrain’s hospitality sector.
Vatel Hospitality School, established in France in 1981 and now operating 55 campuses across 33 countries, holds a distinguished international reputation.
The Bahrain campus, founded in 2018, is part of this extensive network and has produced over 45,000 graduates worldwide.
According to the latest QS rankings, Vatel has consistently been ranked first in France and 13th globally in hospitality management for two consecutive years, further cementing its role as a leader in the field.
