OMAN – Americana Restaurants International Plc, a leading dining operator in MENA and Kazakhstan, has acquired 46 Pizza Hut restaurants in Oman from the Khimji Ramdas Group.
The 46 acquired Pizza Hut restaurants contributed an estimated US$11 million in annual revenue for 2024.
This acquisition is part of the company’s strategic plan to strengthen its presence in key markets and expand its regional footprint.
Having operated in Oman since 1986 through established brands like KFC and Hardee’s, Americana has cultivated strong ties with local communities.
The addition of Pizza Hut restaurants reinforces its dedication to the Sultanate, fostering economic growth, creating jobs, and strengthening connections with the Omani community.
In July 2022, Americana signed a franchise agreement with Yum! Brands to develop and operate Pizza Hut restaurants across Saudi Arabia, excluding Jeddah.
This partnership resulted in nearly 100 outlets in the Kingdom. With the addition of the Oman locations, Americana now oversees close to 450 Pizza Hut restaurants across multiple regional markets, further solidifying its leadership in the pizza segment.
By combining Pizza Hut’s local presence with Americana’s operational expertise, the company is well-positioned to drive growth and deliver exceptional dining experiences.
