Balancing sophistication with comfort, NH Collection Accra will cater to the city’s commercial growth and international connectivity, serving growing demand from corporate, diplomatic and long-stay travellers

GHANA – Minor Hotels has signed its first West African property with the 200-key NH Collection Accra, scheduled for a 2030 opening in Ghana’s capital as the group accelerates expansion across the continent’s highest-potential markets.
Located in the heart of Accra, the hotel will form part of a modern mixed-use development offering excellent access to government, corporate and embassy districts positioned near Jubilee House and within close reach of Kotoka International Airport.
The agreement, finalized during THINC Middle East 2026, underscores Minor Hotels’ continued push into gateway cities across Africa.
Developed by Swami India Ghana Limited, a diversified real estate group with a strong track record across West Africa and the Middle East, the project will integrate hotel, retail and office components designed to create a vibrant urban destination.
Balancing sophistication with comfort, NH Collection Accra will cater to the city’s commercial growth and international connectivity, serving growing demand from corporate, diplomatic and long-stay travellers.
“We are delighted to introduce the NH Collection brand to Ghana, one of West Africa’s most dynamic and promising markets,” said Amir Golbarg, Chief Operations Officer for Middle East and Africa at Minor Hotels. “We look forward to working with Swami India Ghana Limited to bring this project to life,” Amir added.
For Minor Hotels, the Accra signing represents strategic diversification beyond its established East African presence, which includes the operational NH Johannesburg Sandton in South Africa and the recently announced NH Collection Pemba Island Resort in Tanzania.
“The signing of NH Collection Accra marks an important milestone for Swami India Ghana Ltd as we continue to expand our footprint with developments that adhere to the highest international standards,” said Dinesh G. Gorasiya, Chairman of Swami India Ghana Limited.
The Accra debut signals growing confidence in West Africa’s tourism and business travel trajectory. Ghana’s stable democratic governance, expanding economy and improving air connectivity position it as a gateway to the broader region.
As Minor Hotels plants its flag in Accra, the message to competitors and investors alike is clear: West Africa’s hospitality story has entered a new chapter.
