NH collection debuts in Pemba, Tanzania as Minor Hotels expands East Africa luxury portfolio 

TANZANIA- Minor Hotels and Infinity Developments has announced a plan to launch the NH Collection Pemba Island Resort in Tanzania, scheduled for a February 2030 opening that marks the brand’s first venture into the Zanzibar archipelago. 

This collaboration builds upon the developers’ existing relationship, which is currently delivering the ultra-luxury Anantara Zanzibar Resort & Residences.  

Consequently, the new signing reinforces both parties’ shared commitment to elevating hospitality standards across East Africa’s most promising tourism markets while expanding their collective portfolio of high-end destinations. 

Located a short drive from Pemba Airport, the 145-key resort will offer convenient access from both Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam while preserving the island’s exclusive, low-impact tourism character.  

The property will feature a carefully curated selection of guestrooms, suites, and villas designed to blend modern elegance with Pemba’s pristine natural environment 

Beyond accommodation, the resort will house numerous dining outlets and MICE facilities capable of hosting corporate events and gatherings.
