KFH Egypt brings Apple Pay to table, letting customers pay with wave of wrist

The move lets diners settle restaurant bills, grocery hauls, and taxi rides with nothing more than a casual wrist flick, no wallet fishing, card swiping, or cash fumbling required.

EGYPT – Kuwait Finance House–Egypt has made Apple Pay available to its customers, bringing contactless magic to iPhones and Apple Watches across the country.

The move lets diners settle restaurant bills, grocery hauls, and taxi rides with nothing more than a casual wrist flick, no wallet fishing, card swiping, or cash fumbling required.

Tap, Look, Done: How It Works

Here’s the beautiful simplicity: customers hold their iPhone or Apple Watch near a payment terminal, authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or a quick passcode, and voilà, transaction complete.

Each payment generates a unique one-time dynamic security code, meaning actual card numbers never get passed around like party invitations.

For restaurant-goers, that means less time fiddling with bills and more time savoring that last bite of koshari.

Where the Magic Happens

Apple Pay is accepted everywhere you’d want to use it—grocery stores, pharmacies, taxis, restaurants, and retail outlets across Egypt.

It also works for online purchases within apps or via Safari on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, eliminating the tedious dance of creating new accounts or repeatedly typing shipping details.

Whether you’re ordering food delivery, booking a ride, or paying for parking, your phone becomes your wallet.

Security That Sleeps Soundly

Here’s the clever bit: when customers add their KFH Egypt card to Apple Pay, the actual card number never touches Apple’s servers or the device itself.

Instead, a unique, encrypted device account number lives in the Secure Element, an industry-standard chip designed specifically to keep payment information under lock and key.

Even if someone gets their hands on your phone, they can’t access your card details. It’s security that doesn’t get in the way.

Getting Started Takes Seconds

Setting up takes about as long as ordering a coffee. Open the Wallet app on iPhone, tap the plus sign, follow the steps to add your KFH Egypt credit or debit card, and you’re done.

The card works immediately across iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac, with all existing rewards and benefits intact.

For customers already juggling loyalty programs and cashback offers, that seamless integration matters.

Why This Matters for Egypt’s Dining Scene

For restaurants and cafes across Egypt, wider adoption of contactless payments means faster table turnover, reduced cash handling, and happier customers.

Diners who can pay with a glance spend less time waiting for change and more time enjoying their evening. In an industry where every minute counts, that’s a recipe everyone can appreciate.
