RIU Palace Swahili officially opens in Zanzibar, Tanzania

RIU has also introduced RIU Party in Tanzania which will be open for guests from the chain’s three hotels on the island. These celebrations are scheduled to take place every Friday at RIU Jambo.

TANZANIA- RIU chain of Hotels & Resorts has just opened its third hotel in Tanzania: Riu Palace Swahili, a 5-star hotel located in Nungwi, in the north of Zanzibar. 

The opening of RIU Palace Swahili, in the Nungwi area has set the stage for the RIU chain of hotels to establish itself as a key player in the region. The hotel brings luxury and quality services to a region known for being the most iconic and attractive destinations in Africa.  

Accommodation facilities 

RIU Palace Swahili has a total of 505 modern and elegant styled rooms that offer comfort, thanks to their RIU standard amenities. 

The Elite Club service area has a total of 76 rooms, 52 have a private swimming pool and 24 enjoy the best sea views. 

Guests enjoy premium benefits including the Elite Club Restaurant, their own reserved area on the beach, a drinks service, access to the Elite Club Lounge, a separate check-in area and aromatherapy items in their room. 

The hotel services and amenities 

RIU has also introduced RIU Party in Tanzania which will be open for guests from the chain’s three hotels on the island. These celebrations are scheduled to take place every Friday at RIU Jambo. 

The hotel maintains its commitment to its renowned 24-hour All Inclusive service curated for guests to enjoy the environment while dining.  

Karibu restaurant serves as the main restaurant with some additional specialty restaurants like the Krystal for fusion cuisine, the Italian Duomo, the Mediterranean Helios and a Steakhouse. The offer is topped off with Pepe’s Food fast-food kiosk. 

It has six bars with different concepts: the Lounge Bar, the Daiquiri bar, the Masai Plaza bar, the Konyagi pool bar, the Madafu and the cake/ice cream shop Capuchino. 

Guests also get to enjoy the Renova Spa and two infinity pools which are visually designed to merge with the turquoise waters of Nungwi. The daytime is packed with activity while the days ease off with evenings shows and live music every day. 

With this new addition of the RIU Palace Swahili, RIU Hotels & Resorts continues to show its commitment to Zanzibar since the year 2018. The RIU chain of hotels now has three hotels, the other two being, RIU Palace and RIU Jambo.
