MOZAMBIQUE – The Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence in Maputo has officially reopened its signature Filini Restaurant following a comprehensive refurbishment, enhancing its dining appeal for both guests and local residents.

The Italian restaurant’s relaunch on January 27, 2026, marked by an intimate event for partners and media, is part of a broader property-wide modernization initiative coinciding with over a decade of Radisson Hotel Group’s presence in Mozambique.

A Contemporary Dining Destination for the Community

Filini, open to the public seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, now features a refreshed interior designed to offer a more comfortable and modern environment.

The renovation aims to cater to a diverse clientele, including families, leisure diners, and business guests, within a relaxed yet contemporary setting.

Ankur Tripathi, General Manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence, Maputo, stated that the reopening reflects the hotel’s continued investment in enhancing the guest experience and providing a welcoming dining space for the local community.

Part of a Strategic Property-Wide Modernization

The restaurant’s refurbishment is not an isolated project but a key component of a larger renovation effort that extends to the hotel’s guest rooms.

This initiative is a direct response to evolving market demands, focusing on upgrading in-room technology and ensuring the property maintains high international hospitality standards.

The investment underscores the group’s commitment to modernization and innovation within the Mozambican market, ensuring the landmark property remains competitive.

Strengthening Brand Presence and Loyalty

As an upper upscale brand within the Radisson family, Radisson Blu is characterized by its “Yes I Can!” service philosophy and attention to detail.

The enhancements in Maputo are designed to deliver more meaningful and memorable experiences, aligning with the brand’s global standards.

The property continues to participate in the international Radisson Rewards loyalty programme, offering benefits to both guests and professional business partners, thereby encouraging repeat visitation and strengthening customer loyalty in a key African capital city.

This strategic refresh reinforces Radisson’s commitment to its flagship Maputo property, ensuring it continues to serve as a prominent hospitality and social hub in the city’s evolving landscape.
