Additionally, Global Payments’ camera vision technology matches each delivery vehicle to its corresponding order, improving accuracy and speed.

Chris Siefkin, president of Global Payments Genius for restaurants, emphasized the partnership’s value: “Our restaurant customers want tools that help them differentiate themselves. Providing technology for accurate orders and quick delivery is critical to delivering delightful experiences.”

“Uber Eats’ extensive delivery network combined with Genius lets restaurants operate smoothly and expand their reach,” he added.

One notable user of Genius POS is 7 Brew, a fast-growing drive-through coffee chain. The chain recently adopted the platform to manage ordering and back-of-house processes, supporting its rapid expansion.

CTO Danyel Bischof-Forsyth said, “As a fast-growing brand, we prioritize technology that eases our Brewistas’ workload so they can serve customers better. We’ve successfully implemented Genius across over 500 locations in partnership with Global Payments.”

This collaboration underscores the evolving role of technology in the restaurant sector, combining robust POS capabilities with leading delivery services to meet growing consumer expectations efficiently.

Uber Eats has been at the forefront of leveraging technology to enhance both customer and restaurant experiences.

Beyond integration with POS systems like Genius, Uber Eats has developed AI-driven order prediction algorithms that optimize delivery routes and reduce wait times.

The platform also employs machine learning to personalize customer recommendations and improve menu visibility based on ordering patterns.

Additionally, Uber Eats has pioneered autonomous delivery trials using drones and self-driving vehicles in select markets to increase efficiency and lower costs.
