SAUDI ARABIA – Hilton has exceeded the milestone of 100 hotels trading and in the pipeline in Saudi Arabia, representing a combined investment of US$8 billion from owners and investors.

This expansion underscores Hilton’s commitment to Vision 2030, aiming to broaden its hospitality footprint and deliver world-class service across the Kingdom.

The multi-brand rollout includes 14 award-winning Hilton brands with plans to add over 22,000 rooms.

The growing portfolio is expected to create more than 15,000 jobs, half of which will be filled by Saudi nationals, boosting the local economy and employment.

Carlos Khneisser, Hilton’s Chief Development Officer for Middle East & Africa, stated, “As Saudi Arabia welcomed a record 32 million tourists this summer, we are proud to support the country’s goal of attracting 150 million visitors annually by 2030.”

Key luxury additions include Conrad Riyadh Laysen Valley (opening 2026), multiple Waldorf Astoria properties, and the first LXR agritourism resort in Al Ahsa.

The contemporary lifestyle brand Tempo by Hilton will debut with Tempo Riyadh Al Narjis in 2029.

Hilton is also growing its presence in emerging cities like Abha, Buraidah, and Dammam, with projects like Hijla Hotel Abha Curio Collection and DoubleTree by Hilton Riyadh Al Narjis.

In 2025, the Kingdom attracted a record 32 million tourists during the summer, with total tourism revenue soaring to US$13.6 billion in the first quarter alone, a 10% increase from 2024.

The sector is expected to contribute over 10% of Saudi Arabia’s GDP, supporting approximately 2.7 million jobs with a significant portion held by Saudi nationals.

Major infrastructure upgrades, expanded airline fleets, and a diverse range of tourism offerings, from luxury resorts to budget-friendly options, are fueling this surge.

Cultural initiatives like Riyadh Season and eco-tourism projects further enhance the Kingdom’s appeal.

This dynamic environment creates vast opportunities for hospitality operators to expand and innovate, aligning with the Saudi Vision 2030 development goals.
